The timing issue for the Ancient Curse quest auto-fixed itself as in: Phase 3 started with 292 days instead of 300 days. Basically the internal timer for the world or only this quest was forward with 8 days.

Now I will not check the game's internal timers (I don't know how) but I will keep my eyes forward for any suspect jumps-forward. I'm really curious to see if there will be any discrepancy at the end of Phase 3.

Also, I'm really ashamed to say this but I'm sure I'm 99.99% percent retarded. I'm sure the exact values are set in some internal table but as approximations:
- Resting with supplies doesn't consume time sometimes or it can take up to 5 hours (this is an approximation).
- Resting without supplies takes up between 6 and 19 hours.
- Resting without supplies in dungeons takes up between 1 day and 3 days.
This means that buying supplies can reduce the traveling time at least twice. In other words you can win 10 days for very 20 days you spent on the map.

I'm double retarded because I knew this shit but I choose to dismiss the camping supplies as a gimmick mechanic.

So, for anyone who has problems with the quests, just remember this:
ALWAYS BUY CAMPING SUPPLIES!

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
IMVHO Vivisectionist has the lovely smell of an OP class.
Although this is D20, so at high levels full casters are probably superior.
Got up to about level 15, Vivisectionist is still just shredding people. Although Nok-Nok may actually be, with just the mutagen applied to the main character, even better.

If I may ask, what is your Int score?
I started with 14 Int and was hoping that items will allow me to use 6-th level Extracts. Mutagen debuffs Int by 2 (so will be 12 before items). Do you know if its possible to use Extracts with lower Int then required - using item Int bonuses?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The funny thing is that if we go by the technical/classic definitions of Alpha/Beta/etc., the released game would probably be classified as an alpha, because (as far as I understand it), Alpha refers to software that is not 'feature-complete', as in new features could still be added (or removed), whereas in a beta stage, nothing else will be added, things will simply be made to work, polished, etc.
are there really plan to add more features (non dlc like new quests, location. Or whatever) after release?

Quick question, what's the alignment of those little monstrous spiders? Are they outsiders?
Spiders should be animals or vermin or swarm, depending on the state, and TN. Unless you are talking intelligent demonic spiders. Then, their alignment is "rip your face off and rape your eye sockets".

Wait or is it delay poison?
Anyway tried to roll with B crew and eh.
How the heck you can make Julibost useful? Every enemy just uses reflex against his bombs.
Also Tristan - wtf he dies if somebody looks wrong at him. No armor low DEX, wtf? Do I have to dip in monk or something?
Jaethal is nice but they way her HP is handled makes her super inefficient. She ends up wasting all her spells on healing just for her.

Julibost is very good against trolls. Give him acid bombs asap.
Tristan is 100% evil cleric. Buffs + Channeling positive energy is your focus. He is mostly useless for anything else.

Spider Matriarch status: DEAD! :fuuyeah:

Gotta say, Pope Amole's aldori's defender build is saving my ass down there, 44 AC with 15 DR (Dwarven shield+Adamantine Armor+Stoneskin) on top makes a pretty damn beefy tank.

EDIT: There are....many...more...matriarchs around here

I too am restarting the game. Again. Looking at the specialist wizard, which school is any good? Some don't even have spells on all levels.
Don't take divination (and use divination as 1 of the opposite schools), that's all I know.
Yeah, that's a damn shame because divination school powers actually look good. But not good enough to compensate for half the levels not having any divination spells. Probably rolling with transmutation or conjuration, they seem like the most useful.

steam is full of people that have no idea how to heals their characters and how rest work.

pathfinder do the resting right.
pathfinder do the time limit right.

8 hours rest spam break any rpg based on regaining spell/ability on rest.

if there is no time limit you can spam rest.
if there is no time limit you don’t need supplies.

being forced to have a cleric in party is a problem of 3.5/pathfinder.

5e fixed that: probally overfixed with “full rest full health” but at least fixed the need of a healbot.

I thought of that as well, two level of that monk archetype that gives wisdom to attack rolls would be perfect for him. Except he's not lawful, so no monk for him. Make him a mystic theurge by taking levels in a wisdom focused sorcerer archetype instead, and keep his ass way back behind the frontline, that's what I did.

And now I get to hear an elf's dwarf-on-anvil rape fanfic. Truly, the degeneracy available in PK would put even Bioware to shame! :bounce::bounce::bounce:
Finished the ruin. Back to town and trying to figure out the kingdom management again. Oddly enough my Bartholomew didn't send me on a quest for a whip and didn't even mention it and was packing his shit to leave and I offered him a job and he accepted and that was it. Unfortunately all he can do is take the treasurer position and I've already got the gnome in there so that was kinda pointless but such is life. Science project for tomorrow will be seeing what that large-size composite longbow on Ekun does when he self buffs with hurricane arrows which makes it fire as one size category larger, and then when someone casts enlarge person on him to make it another size category larger. If I can get him firing multiple ballista bolts a round I'll be happy.

I choose to read the story of the dwarf sweating profusely while uncontrollably banging an anvil he's been dreaming of that's screaming for him to stop and moaning beneath him in the most tasteful way possible thank you very much. :obviously:

And a quick edit: Unfortunately I was looking up some tabletop Pathfinder shit since I'm still curious about Ekun and it looks like I might be SOL. I see a table that lists weapons going from tiny/small/medium/large/huge, but since his bow already is classified as large then one buff would bump him to huge and I imagine the second buff wouldn't do anything. I'll still try it though just 'cause I'm curious.

It probably will, yes. He needs, what, four sorc levels and three cleric before he can take mystic theurge? So he will be 2 full spell level behind everyone. Ouch. At least he will have plenty of spells to throw around. That's the only thing he is remotely good at, that and healing.

What's the alternative? Maybe some kind of fighter dip to grab some freaking armor?
