Seelah smacking down bleeding heart Ember is another odd one:

Seelah rebuking Ember.jpg
Seelah is really annoyed by Ember during the banter while you rest in the overworld when she starts to ramble about how the Gods are useless , it's very easy to miss but Seelah talking shit towards Ember isn't entirely out of character.

I want my PTSD'd blackguard companion, fam.

You take your Don Lemon priest and you like it.
> Gay black priest
> Bi-sexual hedonistic twink divine caster.
The crusade has fallen. Millions must do penance.

That said, I liked Daeran more than Sosiel. Sosiel is pretty cringe and the romance trigger is pretty bad. Apparently all you have to do to get him to try courting you is to be nice and compliment his art. That's it. After that he starts doing lame shit like passing you messages and crap.
Daeran is honestly kinda based

The evil of both Daeran and Regill (especially Regill) is a gratuitous add-on that doesn't fit with the essence of either character. Meanwhile Cam and Wend are caricatures of female evil straight from the old manosphere archives.

P:K did a better job handling evil than Wrath does. Not great at good either. The Poz is at heart nonjudgmental so struggles with moral categorization.

That said both Daeran and Regill are great characters with based and incisive takes on the particular societal failings with which we've become all too familiar in a way that Soyer can't quite muster due to his own blinders.

As for Sosiel, he does somehow manage to, uh, bring the woman back out in Anevia...

Don't get the Nenio hate. This one is stone cold:

Speaking of Stone Cold (salesman character race specific scrolls are clever):

Don't do romance arcs, but maybe for Arsinoe I could make an exception:

Regill gets the final, and best, word (are the Soyerite relativists listening?):

Yeah, both Reg and Daeran are awesome characters, some of the best crpg characters I know.

And I actually like Nenio a lot as well.
Cam-Cam is fun... I meant... fine... even if slightly over the top evil indeed.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Can't agree on Nenio. She has her moments but spends most of the game being annoying as hell as a character, regardless of how useful her class may be. And her quest sucks.

The others, yeah.

I love Daeran and Reg. They are both extremely based in their own way. I especially like how they both shit on Arueshalae.

I play with sound down so only notice what characters are saying when I want to.

Furry character arc is less annoying than Pallegina's forced troon one in Deadfire. Nenio's doesn't really have a quest just a massively annoying dungeon. The puzzle loots are mailed in like Boggart Areas in P:K, which is sad.

First Owlcat survey I do. I basically voted a big fat NOPE to VO, but unfortunately I am sure I will be the minority.

They are really trying hard to become Larian/Bioware sadly. They don't realize, or choose not to, that the vast majority of people are retarded and don't even know what they really like or want.

At this point Owlcat is a bigger studio than Larian was before BG3 (I don't know about now) and they definitely shouldn't be treated as a small indie studio.

No, but it is full of Russians. Surely that sort of handicap warrants recognition.

I could give you a company staffed by 500 retarded children and I wouldn't be able to realistically expect you to produce Deus Ex.

It’s kind of annoying to see them talk about their voice acting in the DLC when it still has bugs in it that prevent you from finishing it. Voice acting isn’t going to sell copies of an unfinished product.

I think grognards need to accept that the people in Owlcat probably love Larian and dream of making their own BG3 one day. To tell them that they can never be Larian and should not make games of the same production level is basically to tell them that they are shit.

> Copy pasted rules from the Pathfinder source book instead of writing what the game mechanics and features actually do
> Thinking Deal with the Devil was a good enough questline line to include in the game
> Thinking the latter parts of Act 3 and most of act 4 of Kingmaker were good writing and scenario design
Checks out.

How is this different from a typical AAA team from a major publisher?

(I'm using a translator, please forgive me :))
I'm playing for the second time so I know something about the game. Now the difficulty level is: core.
Team:
1. My main character: thief (knifeman).
2. Hilor's mercenary: chaplain (shieldmaster)
3. Nenio
4. Ember
5. Lann
6. Seelah, but I want to change her to Arueshale, but I want to change her class to warrior - pavise specialist (apparently a great class)
Question: a new DLC character, Ulbrig, has appeared. Is it worth taking him? Instead of whom?
Do I have a good plan?

Keep Seelah as is. Paladins are great (even if Seelah herself is pretty annoying), especially in a game where there's a lot of Evil enemies.
It's better to have 3 characters who won't instantly die if an enemy gets too close anyway.
I don't have the Ulbrig DLC so I can't give advice on him.

Make your MC an Oracle and go down the Angel path, recommended for every new players because not only is Angel the strongest path, it also arguably has the best writing of all the paths. And Oracle with Nature secret will have access to Barkskin, which you will need throughout the game. Then you can replace your mercenary for a Skald cause you WILL need the force multiplier.

Your Oracle can heal, but healing should be reserved for outside combat in this game cause the best healing in this game is not to get hit. If you are getting hit you are playing wrong already.

Ulbrig duplicates Seelah somewhat so if you’re planning multiple playthroughs he can wait, but there’s no reason to play a set six anyway. His areas are worth doing

Mercs are bad.

Daeran and Sosiel have full Channeling, which is the most effective healing. It’s not a damage-racing game but never using your life as a resource isn’t great either.

Knifemaster goes well with Trickster or Aeon, and running a non-caster main makes other non-casters like Ulbrig a tighter fit. Make sure to use your spells once you get them. Divine Favor is a good one for Knifeman, as are the Illusion spells from Trickster.

Telling people to one-weird-trick the game with Oracle/Angel MC is retarded. Once spellbook merges they’ll never learn how to play because they don’t have to.

Can get Barkskins from Cam, Aru, or Daeran.

Personally I'd not choose the Knifemaster for Wrath. It was already a bit dubious class in Kingmaker, now sneak attacks don't scale well at all in the Mythic setting IMO.
A Slayer... or better yet, a pet-riding Ranger, would be stronger - given that the majority of enemies you face are demons.
Or an Inquisitor for that matter :)
