I have too much personal experience with furries, having created stuff for them, and I have a friend who begrudgingly writes furry erotica for money. Furries generally don't like being rats, just like they don't like being jellyfish or moles, so if we are going with anthropomorphized animals rats are a safe bet.

BG dwarves: I hate Yeslick and I feel indifferent towards Kagain.
BG other little people: I like everyone of them, particularly Tiax and Alora. I like having Quayle around and I am fond of Montaron.

BG2 dwarves: I like Korgan, but mostly because he fights with everyone and tries to bang Mazzy.
BG2 other little people: Mazzy is the coolest companion and Jan Jansen is obviously the peak of the entire game (I am sorry I am like this).

Kingmaker dwarves: Harrim is fun and I enjoy his quest, nothing wrong with him.
Kingmaker other little people: Linzi is the best companion (she would also be the best waifu, if not for those hairy feet), Nok-Nok is the second best companion and I would always bring him around if he wasn't a disgusting rogue. Jubilost is okay, I guess.
