The more furries you add, the more kiddy it becomes. Maybe pomenitul was right.

I still don't trust those HoMM-style battles. Or the mounted combat.

HoMM-style battles are easy to implement, mounted combat on the other hand sounds like pure gimmick.

Pretty disastrous when LotRO tried it - the beginning of the end. Ended up being a niche thing, probably all it will be here - hope it doesn't eat half the game like ship combat in Deadfire.

Come on Desiderius, ship combat being half the game in Deadfire? Talk about an exaggeration. Now you don't even need to do it at all, you can board directly without the mini-game (or try to run, etc).

Ate resources that would have better gone to things they were good at. I kind of enjoy the little text minigame, but the resources squandered in getting to that point are scandalous and as far as I can tell you're just better off boarding.

I'd say so in most cases. However if you have a good crew and equipment, you can potentially sink some high level bounties and collect the loot and reward, while still in the early game.
But that's the only use I've found.

Imagine what it says about RPG fans if the foxes win. I doubt they will, but there's a possibility if the furries mobilize.
