I think Pentiment could be a "punishment game" for when people mess up but want to be rehabilitated and allowed to post in the gaming forums again.

Make the offending poster play pentiment and post a play through thread to obtain absolution.

Is there any remaining doubt that one can with utmost accuracy predict the quality of a game by the physiognomy of the developer? There can come nothing out of Sawyer that is not within Sawyer.

Pretty much

Im starting to believe this

It's truly amazing how the artform keeps going backwards. Bioware from late 90s > Obsidian now

Yeah, its amazing. But you can these retrograde processes everywhere in human society

It's like we began to deconstruct the norms and challenge definitions. The same way a man can be a woman today, and a CYOA can be an RPG

This is leading us all to ruin

I dunno, it just seems like laziness when it comes to mechanics. Or perhaps "the message" being more important than good design. But that's kind of the same thing. If you start to believe a rote political message is more important than your craft, that's indistinguishable from laziness and professional privilege. No one struggling to make it in an industry is going to start with the assumption of, "lmao I can do whatever I want, because my beliefs are more important than the quality of the product".

Bro Sawyer literally said Wizardry is not an RPG, whereas a CYOA is

What can you expect from literally an insane faggot? Of course that all of his ideas (such as this game) will be shitty and unfun

I suppose you're right that "deconstructing" for no particular reason does describe all his game design "innovations". Like removing XP. Or thinking everything about D&D was done wrong... despite being raised on and getting a job based on that stuff. Really weird behavior, but perfectly describes young college students infected by the woke virus in retrospect.

"Wow everything I had was made possible by this legacy ideology... better deconstruct and destroy it all!"

This is kind of funny. I just watched the game's launch trailer and was about to say that although I'm still not down with the mobile phone graphics, it looks more interesting than I originally figured in implementation. This is enough to push me directly back into "Nope!" territory though.

Thanks Roguey!
