Art always changes over the course of development
You mean like Super Mario?

Seriously, name me a few games that had a similar tone shift as Phoenix Point. From a "sci-fi horror game" (Gollop around Fig) to "a Sci-Fi game with some horror elements" (UnstableVoltage just a few weeks ago). Yes art changes often with games in development, most of the times things look more fleshed out, the quality improves, but not scrapping the initial draft and going for something entirely different, for example the Siren.

Are most enemy units melee crab-monsters of some sort? That would blow.

What really draws me in into ja2/xcom-style games and shooters like Ghost Recon or R6 is the thrill of the tactical firefight. Hunting melee bugs...not so much.

I see you are not familiar with Copper Dreams :negative:

What's going on with this game? Is it evolving beyond human comprehension?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

Yes I know: it means that, originally, the complete game should have come out and this self-celebratory tone for rolling out just another incomplete pre-alpha is out of place.

Even the trailer is tailored for console audience, there is no way that anyone can figure out that it's a turn based strategy game but rather a third person shooter or action rpg. I feel ashamed for Snapshot Games, really.

Spore ended up looking a lot different from how it started:

Nothing here too, I read they are working on a launcher that should replace the zip file, so I think it will take some more time.
