i lied. no one gives a shit

Actually, quite a number of people do care considering how many times I've been asked if I've played Pillars yet, Mr. Lurker. :M

You're confusing 'caring' with pointing out the cognitive dissonance you regularly display regarding your desire to avoid downloading and playing your idol's work while simultaneously discussing the acquisition of other games which are download only.

You're referring to one specific incident when there have in fact been many instances since March 2015.

There's going to be big league interest in my Pillars of Eternity travelogue thread, believe me.

Given the "give us feedback on things you'd like addressed" effort, I have no idea why you'd think 3.04 will be the last patch.

Addressed in PoE2?

Also, 3.04 is still in beta!

That's not what their forum post implies at all, though you could read it as "there will be multiple updates to the 3.04 beta until we get it right."

Well this is quite the dilemma. As of yesterday, I'm done with Witcher 3 and have nothing to do until at least November when my Wasteland 3 pledge goes through and I get my Underrail key. And yet there's 3.04 in the distance.

IE Mod is functional with the current patch, if having features of previous IE games is a requirement for you to enjoy it even on a first playthrough, doing it now may be in your favor. There were lots of problems getting it updated after 3.0, but I believe a few Codexers helped with that.

The crowdfunding campaign ended on October 16 2012, so they'll soon be approaching the fourth anniversary. Pillars isn't a multiplayer game, so other than good will, they're hitting on some quickly-increasing diminishing returns on resources devoted to fixing it. They have Tyranny, Pillars 2, and other projects to be concerned about.

There's nothing the IE mod does that I necessarily want, so I'll be playing without it.

Roguey is Samara? :M

Wrong movie, I'm identifying with Asami from Audition.

After sleeping on it, I've decided to go ahead with 3.03. I can live without some i's dotted and ts crossed.

For what it's worth, if you are planning on reviewing PoE I would appreciate you doing so after the final version of patch 3.04 is released, as I am personally interested in your judgement on what should be the most refined version of the game.

I've already started. If they update while I'm still playing and they release a 3.03 to 3.04 patch then okay. I'm not too keen on downloading another 1.5 gb patch so soon though.

Definitive review coming when?:bounce:

In my experience it takes me about a month or two to finish these things, assuming I'm not interrupted. Chances of my making a post about it before the year's out are very high.

Will developer comments be turned on for the entirety of the playthrough?
Will it be done piecemeal as you take us through the journey, or just one meaty review at the end?

Speaking of this, Roguey, you'll love the commentary where the guy pauses unnaturally mid-sentence because he's read to end the of the line.

I have them on, and it will be in one post.
