WL2 is 27 places higher than PoE?

A lot of codexers have an allergic reaction to RTwP.

Is it possible with IE mod to enable cheat which negates the waiting time between spell casting?
So, you could spam spells one after another without cooldown. I remember this was possible in with Shadowkeeper in BG2.

they don't give a fuck about mods, and by extension, about the community.

Bester: "Why do you keep putting out so many patches, don't you see that you're crippling the community?"

Obsidian: "Well... our players don't like bugs, and the community has responded well to our efforts to fix and improve the ga---"

Bester: "Fools! I AM THE COMMUNITY!!"

The game didn't only get patched, they balanced and changed whole game mechanics.

I was among those who got annoyed by the constant balances and changes after release, but reading some people's opinions about the game being much better than before, it seems I was wrong and all these fixes helped PoE a lot.

I've recently started a new game due to finally getting White March, last time I played was still in the 1.x versions.
Did like it well enough back then, but it clearly had its share of problems.

Don't expect a completely different game, but from what I've seen, most changes are sensible and improved gameplay.
I guess things like immunities in particular should be welcome to many peoples here. The whole engagement/disengagement thing is communicated a bit better, too (although some may find it clumsy).
The overhaul to skills makes getting higher levels on some of them more useful and interesting.

I still see some issues with some of the mechanics, but unless you completely detested the game earlier, you might give it another shot. Although apparently 3.04 will be out soon, so better wait a week or such.

With so many bug "fixes" and new changes i wont be surprised if they break the game even more with 3.04

Will play it on 3.03 and only upgrade if the iemod gets compatibility. I like the modded ui too much.

- There were multiple attempts at a savegame editor, one of which was being updated by the author for a year, after which he got exhausted and discontinued it. Is the community the author of the editor or is the community all the people who were using it? No working savegame editor almost 2 years after release. Let that sink in.

- The iemod was being worked on and kept up to date by 10+ different people at different periods of time, but after 2-3 months none of them could do it anymore. The constant pressure to output tens of hours of work every time an update came out, and realizing that all that work only went into maintaining the thing, not into improving it? That can crush any enthusiasm. Apparently tens of thousands of people who used the mod aren't community.

- There was a gigantic effort to rewrite all baker created memorials to make them lore friendly. Authors studied all the lore they could find about the areas the tomb stones were placed in, then worked long hours to come up with lore friendly and creative tomb stone descriptions. All of that is broken now. I guess the community gained a lot by having this thing broken merely a few updates after this mod came out.

- Some people tried to balance spells and abilities, but that only worked till the next update came out. No community suffered there once again.

It's all about this one dude who says the game is shit, yup.

While it is a pity that there probably will never be a vibrant modding community for this game, the games (apart from ones which came with ready content editors) that do have such communities are ones where patching has long been finished.

What exactly did you expect - that fixing bugs and improving the game take precedence over modding?

I also find it funny how the game broke both you and Sensuki to such a degree that, even though you two probably played and tinkered around with it more than pretty much anyone else, now you skulk around every PoE (and Obsidian) topic, proclaiming it (and Obsidian) as absolute shit in every possible way.

But, whatever - how you rationalise spending all that time on a game that supposedly has no redeeming features whatsoever is your business ;)

Can anyone explain what is going on here? Why it substracts 15! from my damage reduction redndering it useless, and the spider hits for full damage? I dont get it.

I'm not an expert in PoE mechanics by any means, but could it be that the spider's attack type has a +15 mod (-15 for you) against the type of armor that you're wearing?

Read the bestiary entry for spiders.

"Though the spear spider lacks a poisonous bite, its piercing legs, from which its name is derived, can inflict terrible wounds, even through armor."

i.e. yes, their attacks have a massive DR bypass bonus.

Why does Edér sometimes get up and heal a small amount of Endurance when reduced to 0? Am I missing something painfully obvious here? Don't remember him doing that on my first playthrough.

If you have his starting equipment on, his chestpiece grants him Second Wind, which resurrects him with 50% Endurance once per fight.

doh

EDIT: In my defence, I skipped reading the part after "Second Wind" since that phrase already has a meaning (the self-heal from athletics).
