I hope "revised" means "removed entirely." Fatigue is so cargo cult.
What's the problem with fatigue? Often times it was the only thing forcing me to stop and rest.

Main thing that sucked about it is that it forced everyone to get 3 points in Athletics, but they're getting rid of that.

Fixed an issue that would break game progression after talking to Maerwald.

7 months late, but good to know new players won't have the same infuriating problem I had (twice).4

Also, changes to the Fighter miss the point completely and are worthless.

Finished The Ratcatcher. Style felt very amateurish, and the story didn't have a point. Sagani decides to get involved in a thing because she's bored/curious/can't sleep, but ultimately it doesn't matter.

What's the problem with fatigue? Often times it was the only thing forcing me to stop and rest.

It doesn't serve any gameplay purpose, just some annoying pseudo-sim thing.

Actually these TWM2 changes sound pretty good.
- The Stronghold stuff: a nice try but too late for that
- Changes to Athletics and Survival seem pretty interesting, although as always, the only thing that prohibits you from resting abuse is if you feel too lazy to go back to an inn.
- Knockouts being more important: nice, but who cares if you can abuse resting? I wish for an option where I can set my health to decrease faster so that even if at full health - 0 Endurance means 0 Health. I just want to try the game with Health eliminated.
- Late-game tuning: only matters to people ready to wait until TWM2's release to play the game.

I wonder if TWM2 will also be the last PoE patch.

Impenetrable tanks are history but +5 Def for free is always good. Damage/accuracy/speed buffs are solid too (esp. Armored Grace). What more do you want?

Fighter changes don't really change anything - they make him a bit sturdier, but he was always nigh-unkillable. And extra damage to the "per encounter" skills is kinda meaningless.

Immunities are insanely impactful, but that needs more investigation.

Per encounter rework is also unpleasant for casters, but it's not as huge as it seems. Generally, I didin't even have the time to use them fully in most battles - even in PoTD, the amount of casts you have naturally is more than enough.

So no encounter spells removal?

Also the 3.0 patch sounds too good to start my 2nd play with 2.03. I think I will wait more :)

Obviously they'll have to fix the things they break for a few months, but after that I imagine they'll be devoting everything to Pillars 2/something else.

I wouldn't be opposed to a fatigue/knockdown system which makes the characters slow to a painful crawl after too much time/too many injuries. It feels like a good incentive to make people rest in the wild rather than in taverns when the effects hit.

"The Ratcatcher" is about what I expected. A decent story, average fantasy-level writing. Also, the line "“Don’t try that with us, you lying hut-dweller!”" must have been rehearsed for minutes in front of the mirror before it went into the text. Still miles ahead of Gaider's drivel, so it could be a lot worse.

No, it's just a thing junior authors do - pronounce the lines, play out the scenes. It results in things that looked and sounded great in your head, but read cheesy. :)

It also makes for a good way for people to uninstall the game once they run out of supply packs and need to go back at that speed...

The impenetrable Fighter tank was useful and a good addition to any party. The current Fighter is just boring and weak, worse than any other tank, and worse than every DD as well. If they can't make him useful, at least make him interesting to play during combat, but that would require reworking the entire class, and I doubt it'll happen even for PoE 2.

1. Install mod for Poe
2. Turn off engagement system
3. ???
4. Win.
