For those who've played them both, would this or Witcher 2 have won GOTY if both were released same year PC...

Also, EPIC BROFIST! Dark Souls blew my fucking mind...

And those who haven't played it can shut up already, rather than prove their mouths are large enough to fit their dirty, unwashed feet inside..

Those who have not experienced really just have fucking nothing to say, anyway, on that exact basis.

I don't know this ... Dark Souls. Is it any good? Why we should care? From the trailer it looks like any SkyRim...etarded.

I don't know if this is epic trollbait, but I'm going to bite...

Skyrim is a consolized, popeamole dumbed down exploration game by comparison...

Dark Souls is more like an old school dungeon crawl, complete with the "READ THE MANUAL AND SPEND SIX MONTHS INSIDE A CAVE WITH ONLY A PC RUMINATING" difficulty.

There, fixed.

Seriously, any game that can tell half the plot without any exposition, just sheer symbolism, deserves more respect than people who HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED THE FUCKING GAME are giving it on this forum. Griefers..!

This game franchise was the sole reason I brought a PS3.

It's that good. Hell, even if it's a shitty port it will be worth it for AA and a frame rate over 30fps (the console frame-rate is abysmal)

sell's Ps3.

btw action combat is not bad if executed correctly, and this game does it correctly....

What's wrong with making save game points that you can revisit and use as many times as you wish provided you can reach them like those in the old Resident Evil and Silent Hill games or in Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of Earth?

GFWL, Checkpoints with insta health-recover and respawning enemies...

Count me out.

I'll go for Mount and Blade and Legend of Grimrock instead.

It's exactly like in the old Silent Hill games, I am not sure what you are talking about. You reach the bonfire, you're safe. At a prize: all enemies respawn. You can chose not to go there. You may also save & quit everywhere.

Ignorance all abound.

This is exciting and I know that Dark Souls does have a lot to offer for people looking for a very high challenge and highly engaging gameplay with plenty of replay value and solid memories (I will probably never play it).

Think about it: console gamers (also known as braindead mouthbreathers) think it's a good game. That should be enough information to declare this game as pure diarrhea.

Actually, most console gamers hate if before even trying because they got butthurt some people like it a lot more than Skyrim (doesn't even compare, but they were released around the same time and both are fantasy).

Another group presumably hates it because they died in the first area and don't expect that it should be required to learn a game's mechanics to win.

But you obviously won't like it if you don't at all like action games with RPG flavor.

Were you always nothing but a mediocre troll RK47? It seems to me I recall such a time when you were a perfectly adequate poster. What happened?

I don't see the problem. Either you are willing to invest that much into a good game - and I add, it's not a lot of money for someone who works, especially considering the many hours of entertainment you get out of it - or you are not.

With a PC, you still have to buy the game. Anyone serious about games he likes has all the consoles and PC hardware he needs to enjoy the newest offerings that interest him, regardless.

:what:

Check my sig (which I stole from Skyway), consoletard.

Then how come the game has better user scores than games like Fable 3 and Dragon Age Origins on sites like Metacritic? It seems to me that most console gamers like it. Thus me being quick with my judgement.

Both save game points and respawning enemies, are crap.

By that logic you think games with worse user scores on metacritic are better. Enjoy your Fable 3, which is clearly a glorious PC master race gift of awesomeness since it has a lower score. Your wife is waiting for you to come home and fart to cheer up the children.

Don't you get it? What do I care about Metacock, or pieces of shit like Fable 3 or Dragon Age? What do I care about console ports?

The save/respawn system is actually quite good and has gameplay elements tied to it. Hollowing, PvP invasions, and Humanity all work off the save/respawn system in one way or another.

No I am not a troll, I am just trying to gather information from people who actually played to game. I have seen a video in which a 'boar-like' creature was impaled in the ass (literally, and twice, and people giggling in the background)… fucking retarded but not a big problem.

Then I read that you cannot save, rather there is an automatic save function… Is this true? 'cause if it is this is true then I DECLINE (I get that some people need to get punished to get their dick up, but I don't like it).
