Deck building weirdness aside, i really like the original and got the updated version as soon as it was available, the remake or whatever that Spike Chunsoft did...not so much, absolutely the weakest game so far, so i hope One Way Heroics 2 ends up being better than the Mystery Chronicle version.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX announced for Switch

Pokemon-Mystery-Dungeon-RT-DX_01-09-20.jpg

The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, and developer Spike Chunsoft have announced Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX for Switch. It will launch on March 6. A demo is available now and will let you carry your progress to the full game.

Here is an overview of the game, via Nintendo.com:

About
What would you do if you woke up one morning…and you were a Pokemon?!

You can meet and recruit Pokemon in a dungeon-crawling adventure within their world! Build a rescue team to take on mysterious, changing dungeons and strategically plan your moves as you venture forth to make the Pokemon world a safer place…and uncover your true purpose along the way.

As you recruit Pokemon, these trusty teammates will need somewhere to stay, so build camps to house, manage, and strengthen your Pokémon friends. Think hard about who is right for the job and how to approach each mysterious dungeon as you prepare a rescue team. You’ll move a single square at a time or use Auto mode to speed up movement until you engage other Pokemon in turn-based battles—but don’t forget about Pokemon strengths and weaknesses! This version adds gorgeous watercolor-inspired graphics, and more! Get comfortable in being a Pokemon, there’s a lot of work to do.

Key Features
  • Wake up in the world of Pokemon and uncover your true purpose.
  • Dungeon layouts will change each time you enter them, so you’ll likely not have the same adventure twice.
  • Build a rescue team to explore dungeons and engage in strategic turn-based combat.
  • Pokemon are available to meet and recruit.
  • This version adds gorgeous watercolor-inspired graphics, and more!

Thought it would be a new entry but it's just a remake of the GBA/DS Rescue Team.

Nisa at its finest again.
For anybody interested , alliance alive hd comes out on pc today, has no kb/ms support whatsoever.

The interesting part is that you have to actively remove keyboard support to do this.Meaning, they are actually adding more work just in order to fuck pc users over.

And you just know that if it doesn't sell, they Will say the PC market is bad and sell less games like this One, it's never the fault of bad ports, oh no, PC gamers just do not care and should be happy with what they get.

Yeah, I want to support a game like this on PC, but I despise NISA. I was looking forward to a superior experience over the Switch, too. Oh well.

It is out

Oh boy,this is fun.

-No kb/m support whatsoever, never seen that before. Pressing space presses space on windows.
-My logitech controller is not supported, yet it runs every game even new ones from this year.
Edit:You have to use steam api to configure your controller. Also the gog version supports standard xiput controllers.
-17000 files,wtf.
-40 euro/dollar pricepoint

I wanted to say i would support it because i like games like this coming to PC and it would hopefully lead to something like Disgaea 4 coming to PC, but man, that is a really bad PC port, like, it makes the Mortal Kombat and Arkham Knight ports to PC seem masterpieces.

And the worst part is that i know developers will only look at sales, and if the game doesn't sell it's because of the lack of market, heaven forbid it being because they released a PC game with no keyboard/mouse support, you know, the two things that are most certain for PC gamers to have?

It's still interesting how more and more Japanese indie dev and companies choose Steam for Japanese only release.

Some mystery dungeon-like... with monster girls:

They're considering English support down the line.

One of three big eroge companies who have actually have good gameplay (alongside Alicesoft and eushully) have released their first English game for steam.

If eushully aren't idiots they can make a lot of money by releasing kamidori for steam as well.

The fan translation even gave them initial exposure, they should just take what they got and build upon it.

Record of Lodoss War is now available as a 2D action game!
Coming to Steam Early Access on March 13th - Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth!

Attention Japanese Fantasy Fans,

Touhou Luna Nights developer Team Ladybug is proud to bring you the globally revered classic of Japanese fantasy said to have single-handedly launched the "elf-shaped ears" trope, Record of Lodoss War in 2D action game form!

Featuring "Deedlit" - beloved heroine and symbol of Record of Lodoss War - this latest installment fills in the gaps from the most recent novel in the series released in August 2019.

Deedlit awakens in a strange, unknown place. As she explores her surroundings, she encounters ""Ghim"" and more of her old friends. Where is this place? Receiving help from spirits including ""Sylph"" and ""Salamander"", Deedlit wanders this mysterious new world in search of answers...

The Wonderous Spirit of the Novel Captured in 2D Action Form!

The game features both the beautiful 2D pixel artwork for which Team Ladybug is known as well as a unique Record of Lodoss War-based game system.

Harness the Power of the Spirits to Battle Through Each Stage

You'll need to take advantage of the powers possessed by the various spirits assisting Deedlit in her quest in order to make it through each stage.
When using Sylph, Deedlit becomes less vulnerable against wind and gains the ability to hover, allowing her to access certain areas. You must learn to use these powers wisely.

Master Myriad Types of Weaponry

Pick up and brandish the various weapons dropped by enemies, such as swords, knives, spears, and more. Learn to use each weapon according to its strengths: powerful swords are best for close-range melee attacks, while arrows can be used for ranged assaults, etc.
Of course, you can also sell these weapons off as well. Apart from attacking, there are also certain gimmicks which you'll need arrows to overcome. Part of the fun lies in cycling through the different weapons to find the one best suited for the situation.
