Maybe they will cave in after Persona 5 will be done. I dont think they will care to port any of their handheld game.
I hope not, most of their best stuff is on handhelds at the moment. I'll settle for only SMT but other Index creations like Etrian Odyssey would be fantastic.

C'mon Atlus, you know you want to.

Yeah, I do wish other JRPG devs/publishers followed suit. Maybe with time.

Tales of Zestiria has sold really well, for one. Almost 100,000 owners is definitely not too shabby. I hope Lightning Returns sells well too.

Speaking of Lightning Returns (and just released DQ Heroes), looks like Square Enix is starting to picking up what it takes to release PC version: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/these-are-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-13s-pc-g/1100-6432820/

Now, the company has provided a list of these options, which are intended for "high-end" PCs. Take a look at the list below, which Square Enix sent to GameSpot and is also featured on the game's Steam page.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII PC Graphics Options:
  • Rendering resolution
  • Scaling of the display area
  • Shadow processing
  • Texture filters
  • Color correction
  • Depth of field
  • Lighting
  • Glare
The PC version of Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII also supports full-screen and windowed display modes, as well as maximum resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p) and a top frame rate of 60 FPS. You can see the game's minimum and recommended PC requirements here.

(Or they're preparing for remastered releases for PS4 and Xbox One.)

You can see comparison screens at the link.

I post this here since it's mostly japanese stuff :
Many games currently on sales on Playism :

- Some relevant stuff :
Artifact Adventure for $4.19 (time for me to buy this one)
Helen's mysterious castle for $1.39 (very nice solo turn-based battle system)
One way heroics for $0.40 and One way heroics plus for $4.19

Bunny must die for $5.00 (brutal metroid-like, it's good but the controls are not perfect IMHO, though)

Machinarium for $4.00
Botanicula for $4.00 (if you don't already own these games)

- Some stuff I could buy but that I don't know anything about :
REVOLVER 360 RE:ACTOR for $3.00
Forward to the sky for $4.79
Wyv and Keep for $7.50
Starchaser : Priestess of the night sky for $6.99
I'm gonna be god of the forest for $5.00
The Legend of Alfur for $5.00

Be careful, for some titles like Sayonara Umiharakawase ($9.74) or Mercernary kings you'll only get a Steam Key.

I wonder if the gameplay will be as infuriating as in the first one.

Really doubt the ffx/2 one considering how square is lazy, but danganronpa would be excellent choice for the pc since steam is becoming more visual novel focused.

They've been releasing a steady flow of Final Fantasies on Steam. It was/is downright stupid to pretend those 2 aren't being released at some point.

Awesome news. Stranger of Sword City and Ray Gigant look interesting.

I'll buy the FF X-2 HD version, too. After all, it's the best Final Fantasy game.

People always think I'm joking when I say FFX-2 is the best Final Fantasy. If they only knew.

Well, at least there is job system so that's major plus. About the rest... It was my first Final Fantasy title, for sure it was bit of wild ride.

Final Fantasy VI is coming to Steam in 16th: http://store.steampowered.com/app/382900/

  • Veteran character designer Kazuko Shibuya has painstakingly recreated the graphics, bringing the world of FINAL FANTASY VI to your PC for the very first time!
  • Updated controls and active-time battle system are optimized for fluid combat for PC
  • Includes Steam achievements and Trading cards.

Of course it's a mobile port.

I can't brofist a post with that video. I would have bought it but I knew it was this butt ugly mobile port that is offensive to my eyes. Even the UI is offensive.

SteamDB updated another batch of leaked entries. There are some interesting things for the crowd here:

Grandia https://steamdb.info/app/289860/ (The entry is old but recently updated. Maybe recent Grandia 2 release affected it. There's also an entry named "Lunar" associated with this.)

Little Stone Sega Test App 1-3
https://steamdb.info/app/267240/
https://steamdb.info/app/267260/
https://steamdb.info/app/267280/

(Little Stone is name of the company that did Valkyria Chronicles port. These entries could be something. There are also abandoned entries Little Stone Testing 1-4.)

Lollipop Chainsaw https://steamdb.info/app/261090/ (This game was never released or announced for PC. The entry is old and abandoned, unfortunately.)

Grinsia https://steamdb.info/app/260810/ (Some 3DS/mobile JRPG.)

Vertical Strike -ALTERNATIVE- https://steamdb.info/app/313390/ (Ace Combat-ish flight action game by Japanese indie team.)

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 https://steamdb.info/app/363150/ (I missed this last time. It has English sub.)

Holy shit are those FF6 sprites ugly. I'll never understand the aversion to pixelation when it comes to 2D graphics like that.
