Seems it's a PC release. I guess I should be :bounce: for any PC Nihon Falcom release, but I've never played/seen/heard the Xanadu games before. Is it :incline: or :decline:?

Even if there was a fan patch, XSEED & Falcom deserve the dough. I wonder if there's any differences, I'm sure they did some touching up to make it run better?

I'm not sure, to be honest. I guess we'll see when the store page goes up.

Boss fight from the demo. What comes after fighting mafiosi, ecoterrorists, cultists and PETA in the previous games? Wiggers, of course.

It's scripted to showcase the new hentai fodder finishing move thing, but it's just a fucking Golbat anyways.

Now it's on Greenlight: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=780388147

"The magic beckons you."

A Magical High School Girl is a magic crafting roguelike RPG!

The only weapon you possess is the magic you conjure from within.

You can freely name your magic. The elemental properties and effects are generated automatically with what you typed in.

Develop the magics you obtain, gain magics from magic stones within the dungeon, and combine to develop even stronger magics.

A high school girl lost in a magical world against a variety of unique monsters with a mysterious coven of witches. Her survival in this cruel yet alluring world all depend on your crafting skills!

Coming this month (if greenlit by the end of month, I guess).

Legend of Legacy got a little grindy at the end, but i overall quite enjoyed it.
The demo for it is really good, and completely sold me on the game - it's also fairly representative if you believe in try-before-buy.

I'll definitely keep my eye on Alliance Alive.

I hated LoL, but mostly because of the elemental system which seriously bogged down the gameplay. Everything else about it was OK. Kinda unfortunate that one system sabotaged the whole experience for me. I'll remain hopeful for AA. No cool frog tho, but at least there's a badass Lizard Warrior.

That magic / elemental system was pretty awful, and made utilizing spells way too much of a chore. Making 1 guy your designated elemental power stacker so you could actually regen in a long fight was shit. If they keep the element system, it should be slightly more tolerable if only because of the larger party size.

Also, while SaGa games like their randomness, this one went a little too far, with the seemingly arbitrary stat growth after the beginning of the game. Fighting the hardest available monsters never felt worth the rewards after a fight that may have lasted close to a half-hour.

One of the biggest criticisms of their game was the lack of a story, so I guess that will be their main focus for this entry. On one hand, for a game that will probably encourage meandering and grinding, this may be a good thing to help you get back on track more easily. On the other hand, who the hell still expects quality storytelling from JRPGs in 2016?

Kadokawa Games Would Like to Look Into Releasing its Games on Nintendo Switch, Steam and More

Kadokawa Games has been a fairly PlayStation-centric developer and publisher in the past few years, publishing most of its games on Sony’s console. Yet, they might look into expanding to other platforms, as President Yoshimi Yasuda told DualShockers during an interview.

“We would like to deliver our games to as many peoples as possible, in the best route possible. Therefore, in the future we would like to look into the Nintendo Switch or Steam and any other hardware that has an install base.”

In recent years, Kadokawa has also been very proactive in finding a way to deliver its games to western fans, going as far as announcing the worldwide releases of God Wars and Root Letter from the very beginning, also providing trailers subtitled in English by default, which is very unique among Japanese publishers.

We asked Yasuda-san whether this is a policy that will continue down the line, and the answer was definitely encouraging:

“Our fundamental strategy is to release any games that Kadokawa Games develops for Western gamers.”

It’ll certainly be interesting to see what Kadokawa Games has in store for the future, but in the meanwhile, you’ll be able to read the full interview, focused on Yasuda-san’s own brainchild God Wars: Future Past, tomorrow.

Also hope its NVIDIA Tegra processor and touch screen benefit potential PC releases.

The only 'if' that I see here is that if you want to continue to make your niche weeb games on the next gen of handheld gaming, you're gonna be making games for the Switch. The real question here is will devs up their game with the graphics to make the handheld games look bearable on a TV as well.
