The real question here is will devs up their game with the graphics to make the handheld games look bearable on a TV as well.
People seem to enjoy playing PSTV games, so I think the former Vita devs should be fine. 3DS ones might have to step up their game though.

I didn't want to open up a new thread for this if it's not going to have a lot of attraction, but this was released just recently. I picked up a copy today and so far.. it's surprisingly fun. It's pretty much made for the long time fans so to get the most fun out of it you better be a fanboi of some degree, but the gameplay is fun enough to carry itself. Recommend giving it a look at least. It's for the PSVita and PS4.

I really want to play that game, it sounds like a lot of fun, but I have no time even for PC RPGs these days. I have been meaning to buy a Vita for a while now though...

If you like jrpgs, there's a decent bunch of them on the Vita. When I don't feel like playing on console or PC, it's great to just sit on the couch or lie in the bed and play for a while.

I'd say if you get an old Vita you can hack it and just get free games/translated/uncensored games. Only downside would be that after World of Final Fantasy you probably won't be able to play any newer releases.

SWORD ART ONLINE: Hollow Realization
Bandai Namco Games America Inc.
Full Game
|
Released Nov 8, 2016
Unlike in Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment and Lost Song, a party in Hollow Realization consists of four characters i
ncluding the player, instead of three.[4][5] While HF is played like a role-playing gameand LS like an action role-playing game game, HR is based on HF's style, but with action elements integrated.[6] Characters can be customized through in-game character creation, with gender, height, figure, weapons, and physical appearance changeable.[7] Additionally, over 300 non-player charactersappear in the game, with all of them being recruitable to join the player's party. Players can create special bonds with these characters by giving equipment to them. Strengthening the bond also increases the character's strength.[8]

A new battle system also features in Hollow Realization, where the four-person team of players fight monsters using sword skills in a similar fashion to the original Sword Art Online game. Players can also direct and receive guidance from party members in collaborating to perform team strategies and attacks.[2] Players perform chain attacks with party members using a "Switch" system for greater damage output against powerful monsters, including charged attacks and aerial combos.[2][9] This includes "Named Monsters", which are monsters with significant strength that appear without warning.[7] Set in a "wider world", Hollow Realization features monsters new to the series.[8] A healing system in the game allows defeated characters to rejoin the battle as long as teammates are still fighting.[9] The game features online multiplayer.[6]

Hollow Realization is approximately 30 to 40 hours in length; however, completely finishing the game such as leveling up to the highest level and completing all the quests will take the player approximately 70 to 100 hours.[10] The game will eventually feature downloadable content. For example, the free expansion pack Fighters of the Blue Sky, to be released in 2016, will featureSword Art Online: Lost Song characters Rain and Seven, a new PvP feature, and an additional story.[11] The paid expansion pack Shrine Maiden of the Abyss, to be released in 2017, will add an additional three chapters into the game.[11]

Gameplay doesn't look half bad.

Though a heavy dose of animu is guaranteed by the plot.

Still looks like crap. Bandai produces lots of these anime monster hunter/phantasy star online-like Action RPGs, and I'd rather play anything but this. Gundam Breaker 3, Xenoverse, or just other Action RPGs like God Eater 2, Soul Sacrifice: Delta etc.

League of Gods, a Chinese tactical RPG currently only available in Chinese. Apparently this is a remake of 1996 Sega Genesis RPG.:

They've localized the title so perhaps English version is coming later (or not).

Huh, as a fan of The Legend of Dragoon and Suikoden this might be just for me. I might* give impressions of the demo later.

EDIT: Doesn't seem to download for me. Freakin' steam.

Ah, looks like the developer actually didn't publish the demo yet. Then why is the demo button there, freaking Steam. (I should have checked it before posting. "Dragoon", too.) Demo supposed to be coming with Kickstarter launch.
