JarlFrank what are your feelings about this all affair? You seem to be a bit reluctant to make any comments whatsoever. Which is understandable, yet I can’t help but to be curious.

he already said that some guy is withholding assets out of spite
The whole affair was quite surreal, and I'm not sure how much I should say about it.
The gist is that the other guy, who owned 50% of the company, ended up ghosting us and blocking us from doing anything because as 50% owner he had the right to veto any decision we would have made.
The original issue was that his dad, who had invested a lot of money into the company (so his son could have his own company, basically) kept interfering in important business decisions. When our Kickstarter money ran out we were looking for a publisher to finish the game. We were still far from finished but could have delivered an early access version soon enough. We received offers from some major publishers within our genre, like the Russian publisher 1C who focus on strategy and RPG and whose profile we would have fit into perfectly.
But the other guy's dad (who has no experience with the game industry and doesn't know what a usual publishing contract looks like) interfered and rejected the offer because he thought we could do better.
This repeated with every other offer we received.
I don't know exactly what went on between HobGoblin and the other guy during that time, but it must have strained their relationship. Afterwards, the other guy ghosted Hob. I tried to contact him too, by email and discord, but he didn't respond anywhere.
The game suffered from overambitious goals, and we didn't have the money to finish it without a publisher, so when the search for a publisher remained unsuccessful (due to the other guy's dad's meddling), I suggested to Hob that we re-purpose one of our maps and make a mini-module we can release on Steam for 10 bucks and raise some funds to continue development.
Hob liked the idea - it would have been a cool little module. The repurposed map would have been a mountain resort for nobility, and the module would have focused on a murder mystery investigation, as well as some exploration of the surrounding wilderness and a dungeon crawl.
But because we couldn't have done anything without the other guy's approval - he owned 50% of the company after all, any decision made in the company had to have at least 51% approval so he deadlocked us - the idea never materialized. Instead, the company died, half of the assets went to that guy, and he's hoarding them to this day, not responding to any inquiries from us. This means that even if we wanted, we can't do anything with the game anymore.
Some stupid drama and meddling from a clueless guy killed the game.
