Those faces.
Yep, they are terrible. Why, oh why? Leons face is so iconic in the series they they were using it in everything from games to animated movies. Don't tell me they have also changed the voices! (haven't watched the trailer yet)

Some of the textures are godawful, hopefully the game gets more graphical polish before release.

They changed Claire's face for ReRev2, now they've changed it again. Leon looks like an actor from one of those YA novel film adaptations. Divergent Evil 2: Hunger Maze

I hope for some fun RE4-tier gameplay within.
Not gonna happen, RE4 have a big enemy variety, Ganados fight with different tools, attacks and on top of this there are the mutations. Balancing health and ammo won't be enough.

Not sure why people are so autist about the faces, they look good, actually realistic, and not mega WEABOO.

Leon actually looks like a very young rookie, and claire looks like a college girl, it fits. Im loving the new animation and faces tbh.

Also, keep in mind, we have gameplay trailer reveal later today, quite certain you will be able to play the game with classic tank-controls and fixed camera.

Wait and see though

If they fuck with Jill's face I'll kill a mother fucker, straight up. Don't touch my Jill.

They fucked up her face in Revelations because they didn't pay Julia voth again for her face, so...

Everyone complaining the new versions look too young obviously doesn't remember the original game that well.

She looks different now, yes (and only because they gave her an actual face instead of "two dots and a line"), but not younger. Look at that inventory portrait for chrissake, she looks about 8.

Watched the reveal trailer, and honestly, I was disappointed. I don't get that RE2 vibe at all, is looks way too actiony. Not the gameplay, beacuse we haven't seen that yet, but the atmosphere.

Hoping they bring back Crimson Heads and the body burning mechanic from REmake. Crimson Heads were fuckin scary.
Change the Crimson Heads, make them have a % of chance to spawn immediately after the zombie is killed, so the player is forced to deal with it. No burning allowed. You would have to choose between using ammo from strong weapons to blow the zombie's head off or kill it normally with weak weapons but risk facing a Crimson Head. Also it would reduce the backtracking.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't go full REmake and keep the fixed camera angles, and I'm a bit iffy on some of the gameplay changes they were talking about including, but I'm definitely gonna give this a look when it's released.

Anyone remembers Cold Fear? It was a RE4 clone set aboard russian ship, and it managed to keep both over the shoulder camera for gunplay and oldschool fixed angles for exploration.

I hoped RE2make team would do something like that.

Looks like they're bringing in RE3's gunpowder system too.

I like the look of it, all the darkness and use of flashlight makes for some good tension, as does the narrow confines in the corridors. I wasn't big on the RE4-RE6 stuff, but this seems like it could be a lot of fun if it's done well.

I'm not too big on the various prompts you get and the indication of where your health level is once it changes (I like it more if you could tell how messed up Leon/Claire are based on their body language). I think it'd be much more suspenseful if you have to be more thorough in searching through your environments with the constant threat that there could be a zombie you accidentally disturb from playing dead or one that's approaching behind you.

Nope, still not convinced. This almost looks like a different game, playing out in the RE2 locations. The RE 1 remake was much more faithful, it was a step by step recretaion of the original IIRC. The faces are atrocious, the voices are jarring. This could be a good game on its own, but as a huge fan of the original, I can't look at that way.
