It's not that hard. A mere human has caught you and would finish you if not for malfunctioning flamethrower. And MX has a lot of tricks to fool someone, such as a perfect disguise.
One doesnt determine your ultimate fate tho, its just one more adventure.

It is true that the ending as is does not account for the PC's power. A handful of mooks can't kill you.

Hm, if some of Ming's goons would have had flamethrowers instead of Steyrs. Maybe if I could change that in th UP it would make more sense. I'll try...

Heh. "The Ming Xiao ending makes no sense! By the end of the game the PC is 0th generation or whatever. There's no way the kuei-jin could ever lay a trap for him in a million years ... unless they managed to scrape up $2700 to buy some good weapons."

I have now replaced the Steyrs of Ming's goons with flamethrowers and shotguns, which could be Dragon's Breaths. This also fixed some horrible weapon clipping and while I was at it I reduced a bad cut timing as well. Still viewing this ending several times over, again I must say that cutscenes are the worst part of Bloodlines and we can't fix them for good as all movements are save into models!

Wesp5 One question I've been meaning to ask for a while now.

Have you considered straight modding for VTMB? I just wonder how much more you can do for the official content and if your experience would allow for interesting new content.

For now I don't have time for this because of the patch. But I am already helping the guy who is creating the Prelude to Bloodlines, like how Jack and Cabbie set the whole thing in motion! There will be a lot of new content in this...

Heyo, here's a confession: I never played Bloodlines. Just once started a character and cringed when I was thrown into that godawful combat in the tutorial.
So, is it possible to build your character in such a way that combat is a non-factor without locking yourself out of most of the game? Like a companion-focused build in FNV or the Harm spell in Arcanum?

Best you could do would be to ask around what the most overpowered build is so you can get combat over with quickly. Plenty of unavoidable fights in the game. I hear people say Celerity a lot.

Finally finished the game. The shitiest endgame I've ever played.
Ever played Arcanum?

Melee character with Celerity is very minimal, I think.

You might try a full-Thaumaturgy Tremere. If you're playing with Wesp's patch (and you should), you get a power which literally straight-up insta-kills someone just by looking at him.

Wait, what? Details, please.

I don't want to spoil too much, but the main idea of the Prelude is to show how the Cabbie and Jack, with the help of the Prelude player, manage to get the sarcophagus to LA and prep it for the main story of Bloodlines. It will start out with the player being a Hunter and will end with the intro of Bloodlines. I will include a cool new LA hub, that I have already seen and which is larger than any of the original Bloodlines hubs! There are also a new sewer area and a abandoned church, the latter which I helped to fill with details myself. The guy behind the Prelude was involved in some of the new UP maps and helped me with other stuff like restored discoplines and casting too, so I really believe he can pull it off!

Wouldnt it be much much much much much better to just tell your own story instead of rehashing the quite frankly worst part of bloodlines?

So it's technically a huge mod/overhaul? Was hoping for something in a different engine or such, but I think I remember Activision being fierce when it comes to defending copyrights to WoD, despite them not doing anything with it.
