second most loved game on the Codex
In 2023, among the majority of people that played it, which doesn't even get close to the number of codex users. So "the second most loved game on the Codex" is a retarded phrase.
What is the number of unique users who logged in at least once in the last year though? And that's before you throw away the chefe alts mind you.

Caves of Lore at 5..lol you're all fucking retards

Its a pixel art dungeon crawler, with juvenile fantasy plot, hardly any choices. It's definitely impressive for a one man dev, but that doesn't mean it deserve praise solely based on this, ultimately is gameplay that matter. From dungeon crawler genre, i had more fun playing Dungeon Rats to be honest.

You're right, I should have said the most loved game on the Codex except for a few retarded culture war malcontents who abused the voting process. Thanks for correcting me

Funny how the results would turn if we got another top 110 RPGs poll since it's not affected by downvoting :M
Disco Elysium and Cyberpunk 2077 would finally claim their rightful positions in top 10 and 20, respectively.

How in the F would CP77 manage that? Most of the games content is worse than oblivions, having a few cool main quest missions does not alleviate it. It would be huge decline.
DE should be in the top 20, that is warranted though.
Cyberpunk 2077 would ascend into the Codex Top 110 (or even 70) quite easily, since neither of those two previous polls employed a ratings or rankings system; instead, they employed a voting system, where people just distributed their votes to a few games out of thousands and thousands of possible options. Even if most Codexers despise Cyberpunk 2077, that would be completely irrelevant to the results; all that matters is that a sufficient number of votes are cast in its favor to place it in the top x of games, and there are a number of Codexers who are vocal defenders of it and would be expected to cast the maximum allowed votes (e.g. 5 of 25 total) for it.

You guys downvoted one "twenty years later sequel made by another studio that all the SHILLS say is actually good" only to have another one win in its place. Lol.

Almost as if we're talking about just 2023, where of the 4 games ahead of it where 2 aren't even RPGs and 1 is high production value degenerate slop set in a retarded setting using a ruleset for retards.

Gameplay, specifically exploration, is top tier even if you divorce the one man dev aspect from it which makes it even more impressive

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Victim of the algorithm this year is Amberland 2, which had a very large percentage of 4/5 votes but in such small overall numbers that it barely made it into the top 20.

Size reflects number of people voting. Those 2022 votes seemed a bit fishy but it's more like 2022 had few people in general, and many of them didn't rate anything. For example, 8 people from 2022 voted on BG3, compared to 26 in 2023. Just 2 voted on WH40k.

The absolute butthurt of the BG3 fans for it not winning after they were almost bursting in anticipation of the butthurt when it wins is truly ironic.
It's the same tactic as always. Smug, arrogant statements over and over again.

Then, when they don't get the expected result, turn it around on everyone else, coping about how little they care compared to others

this newbie, whose main genre isn't even RPGs, actually contributes to incline. you need to get on my level

Hey Grauken may be cringe but he is a great source when it comes to Dungeon Crawlers, you have to give him that.
Them believing they have won some imagined war is a great source of enjoyment, I had a great day today folks thanks for that.
