Wait, are you talking about the tutorial? No, I mean after that. But yeah, that could have been written better too.The power manifests itself at the end of that battle. Up until that point, you're just a regular low-level adventurer that most certainly cannot take on a whole fortress full of Demons by his lonesome.
Again, you're really defensive. A normal person would just shrug and accept that other people have different opinions, but here you are, assuming I'm an idiot just because I don't like a game you admit has crap writing.I'm starting to think you're this critical over the writing because you're just too stupid to keep up with it, even as simple as it is.
Strawman again. Never said I wanted infinite freedom. No game allows you infinite freedom. You can't make a choice that will cause you to deviate too much from the pre-established plot.
If it's easier to argue with points I'm not making, why bother responding? Just have a conversation with yourself in private.
I already gave examples of how you could work around this, but I guess writing is just an impossible task in your mind. Forget all the RPGs we've played that came up with easy ways around making you rely on certain characters. It's just impossible to have things like player freedom or good writing.
If you're not a unique special snowflake, that undermines the "power fantasy" aspect of the narrative.
Yes, being the only one to recieve godlike power is just something that you have to have.
Remind me: isn't this based on a PnP campaign? Does only one player get to pick a mythic path in that?
Think about that for a min and get back to me.
And the capitulation. Thanks for playing. As to why you're not allowed to replace them later, using familiar characters to fill the role of quest dispensers and move certain plot points along is more convenient than creating new characters for that purpose and "I want them gone because they're degenerates" isn't a reason for devs nowadays to spend extra time and resources on replacing them. It's Current Year, what'd you expect?
