Which basically showed Bethesada how to implement simple and basic cRPG mechanics into a Bethesda game, of which they ignored all of that with Skyrim, and went on to sell millions.

New Vegas production began in February 2009, Bethesda Game Studios had started on Skyrim months earlier. They wouldn't have been able to implement much of anything from the finished product. Both games were multimillion sellers.

Troika might have bought the Fallout IP if not for Bethesda. Never forget, never forgive.

This was later elaborated on, Troika/Activision went to Herve and asked to license the IP, Herve gave them an astronomical figure to which they said "lol no", Herve got the bright idea to auction off the license.

Looking at my play list, these are the top 10 in no particular order:

Penny Arcade 2
Dungeon Siege
Neverwinter Nights 1
Dragon Age: Origins
Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday
Ultizurk 2 (bad design, liked the other games well enough)
Akalabeth
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Heroes of the Lance
Final Fantasy X
Ultima 9

I considered some other games like Oblivion, Autoduel, Forgotten Realms: Demonstone, Quest for Glory V, Baldur's Gate for the Playstation and KOTOR. But really those games weren't really all that bad. The problem was that they were mediocre games that people had higher expectations for because of the content or the game company behind them.

Out of the above, I never finished and never will finish Dungeon Siege, DA:O, Ultizurk 2, Akalabeth, Heroes of the Lance and Ultima 9.

Useless thread because noone cares what rubs you what way, but whatever, here's my list.

Neverwinter Nights (worst main campaign ever, complete waste of time, uninstalled without trying the user-made campaigns, because the art was shit too - those forests!)
Oblivion (liked it at start, felt very very cheated after a while)
Faery Tale Adventure II (same shit combat like Ultima VII and not even redeeming qualities exploration-wise)
Druid: Daemons of the Mind (WTF I don't even!)
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor (it can't get much worse than this)
...
Can't think of anything else atm, had fun with a lot of not so good games like Fable (to use the classic moviegoer saying: "You just have to turn off your brain.") and even Fallout 3 (liked the atmosphere) and liked some others mentioned here very much (Mass Effect and Twitcher2 to name two ... and Jagged Alliance 2? WTF!)
