Tried out Rainbow Shield 2.0 mod. First thing I've noticed - enemies take time to aim their weapons. Not seconds or something, but it actually gives the idea that the weapon has weight. Maybe that was in original RS, but I guess I never really noticed it. Anyway, list of new features looks like it will be a nice improvement for Raven Shield.

:rage: I hated that guy. It practically forced you to seek cover or die...

On the other hand, you had to stay close to this guy if you wanted to survive, trying to hide from this brute was tempting the final boss to attack you with unavoidable deadly spirits.
Anyways, the game was certainly awesome... Except for these stealth missions :x

You're using a tileset. Come on Potatojohn, you're better than this. You don't need no tileset.

You're also just digging sideways into a mountain. Think dorf! Dig down! Maybe use what you've got there for temporary living space until you can make a nice entrance hall leading down into the ground, then you can dig away your previous living space for a big entrance hall and/or trading post space!

Hey, I use a tileset too. I started and learnt to play without any tileset, but at some point I started using Phoebus and never ever wanted to go back (I didn't like Mayday and others though and preferred to play without a tileset before).

The world feels so much sinister and cold with Phoebus

I guess I'm the only one who loved stealth in RTCW.

The most surprising thing to me was two things in RTCW. One - this game has insane speed compared to new shooters. At first couple of minutes I just moved like Duke on steroids. And the enemies have it too, so in some parts of the game it was really rage inducing (Parachute troopers, argh!). And the beginning is easily played with stealth. I always went on full guns mode but this change of style made it good. I could easily see a hybrid gameplay for Wolfenstein. With all that tombs and big castles.

If you liked insane speed, I guess you played Requiem: Avenging Angel already?

I remember it, mostly because of the powers you could get throughout the game. But it had so much problems, had to save and load but managed to the end. The most sick and twisted was a vision of hell in the game. All those screams and ambients sounds.

I fucking loved those levels in the game. Also, 'uninspired' city levels are cool, mainly because of the setting.

:bro:

Am I popamole for changing the ASCII color scheme and deviating from the original atmosphere Toady established for the world?
