A meh Mario game that is trying really hard to impress with those wonder trips (find the "hidden" wonder flower, and some weird shit happens). Those can be very creative or even funny but don't offer much in terms of platforming or challenge.

I mean, it's in the title. I think that's exactly what they were going for.

Nintendo isn't exactly known for making hard games. I'm not crazy about Wonder - something about the visual style puts me off - but I'm old and not the target demographic, obviously. However, I can appreciate the craftsmanship regardless.

Aquatis was the worst boss fight in the entire game for me.

Although the final boss is the most direct "fuck you!" of them all...

Omar is friggin' nuts. The things you have to do...
If you screw up, you have to start all over. Captain Claw can be brutal, but it's such an awesome game. Platformers took no prisoners back then.
