Skyrim needs to become the next liberal. Don't you guys have better games to play in your backlog?
You know what they do with women captives.
Did you use DDFix? I remember I turned color saturation to around 20%, then added very slight bloom to emphasize the light sources. Then I turned contrast a bit to make shadows darker.
System Shock 2 ( gamma 2.2, 640x480 ) The game is much darker originally, my screen cap app use desktop gamma.
What. Also the textures don't respect perspective.
Yo human, you haven't seen what I see with my dog's eyes.
Actually, Deus Ex: Human Revolution tried to do that.What.
Perspective is, when graphic design respects how human vision works. Things near you appear sharper, until you cross eye retina focus threshold ( things, that are very near appear very blurry ). Things more away from you appear blurry, or very blurry far away ( until you use some zoom device, like Looking Glass ( Tm ) ) :D. Correct perspective creates an illusion of space, volume and solidity. In conclusion, graphic design should be made in accordance to retina focus field. Too much information is useless and will be ignored by brain anyway ( wow effect wears off ). In a long term you'll start to note the difference, between smooth work and wow effect.
You know, in the game like Deus Ex, I'd like to enter a library and waste weeks reading all the books, magazines and newspapers that are stored there, just because I can. Games like those are filled with background content, and that makes a great experience - yet it makes you want more and more.to draw the player away from irrelevant things that would not interest the protagonist.
Visual guides. Just a bit of ambiance. To give the impression of a place. Focus is on something different. You know what I mean . That my friend, creates the experience, the mood of a place. It is a place with many different things. A glance at poster. Interesting. Looking at high res poster. Boring. You want a glance and move on. If the game is based on starring at high res objects, then it is a boring game.

Heck, I'd even like some consequences from that.
I see what you mean. You like to spend time there, because the place has certain ambient quality, that you love. It has its own special mood. It doesn't really matter, what the game is in fact, but it does matter a lot how you feel and what it makes you believe, when you play the game.
Gorgeous graphics
Everything is too small though.
