This game really went full retard. Some bright moments here and there, but never takes itself too seriously.

It's definitely one of the most visually impressive isometric adventure games I've played.

MAJESTIC!

Someone has to give that Stasis guy an endless source of money, so he can make games till he fucking dies of old age.
Because it looks good?

In that case someone should give John Carmack and endle--oh wait we did that once already, no don't repeat that mistake.

And when exactly did Carmack made a good looking game? Ok, Doom III was kind of a breaktrough when it comes to graphics, but that's about it...

Every id game was VISUALLY impressive for the time frame of intended release.

I don't understand the hate for Carmack, anyway, ID games tend to be way more interesting than modern military shooters, for instance. Although I miss the days when people actually used that technical framework to make other games (rest in peace Raven Software).

Nope? Quake II was my preferred game at the time, but Unreal looked way better. Rage looks like shit. Q3 looked nice, but the engine was built for arena shooters. I hated when every goddamn game used it since then. The maps were pretty small, and fucking square. It kinda felt like every game built on IdTech 3 was just a Q3 mod, no matter how sophisticated.

Wargame: ALB is so pretty up close for how large scale it is.
