The Saboteur already did the "return colour to black & white areas after killing nazis & zombies".

Seriously? For real?
So glad I avoided it.

If you like that style of game Saboteur is actually a pretty decent one. There's a lot more gameplay to it than Assassin's Creed, for example.

Meh...Death to Spies and its stellar sequel satisfied all of my WWII stealth needs. Plus you got to play as Potato agent.
Damm shame about the third iteration.

The Saboteur was actually pretty alright if you could get it running properly on your PC. It had a lot of technical problems and I don't think Pandemic ever had the chance to fix them before they got shut down.

Too bad about Pandemic. I rather liked their games. Whatever flaws they may have had, I enjoyed both Mercenaries games.

EDIT: Wow, they also made Destroy all humans? Army Men RTS (hurr durr, I enjoyed it when I was kid)? SW:Battle fucking front I and II? :negative:

The saboteur is more of a GTA clone, only the "lot's of things to do" mainly involve some sort of sabotaging nazi property. And there's no zombies or supernatural in it. but the number of zeppelins and nazi bases and bunkers gives a steampunk vibe when in black and white. The game runs fine on my rig, but the map screen has a glitch on 1080p resolutions, but nothing too serious.

It has a climbing system akin to assassin's creed, but it's not a parkour simulator.

Hmm. I thought Saboteur was, like DtS, a stealth action title in the vein of (pre-Absolution) Hitman and (pre-decline) Splinter Cell.
Guess I was wrong?

It's pretty much Assassin's Creed's parkour with GTA's general chaos and maybe a splash of base infiltration style stealth.

I thought I was the only one who played Army Men RTS. (Also played/owned most of the other Army Men games, including the first one and the Sarge series.)

Destroy All Humans was also awesome, but I could never beat some late-game stage. I think it was in the capital city? Other than that, it was delicious destruction porn.

I knew it. I played that game to death a few years ago.. loved it
Do anyone know if there is a mod to make the loading screens a little more seamless? It is a great game but it has loading screens every 10 fucking feets, while Half life 2 had the same problems, now with a fast PC you almost don't notice, in wolfenstein they had the idea to show a pointless mission briefing and treasure found screens every fucking time you loaded the level and as that happened a lot, that is really irritating.

I replayed the first half of the game somewhat recently and really don't remember it being that bad. Each level map is pretty large.

Yeah, DeepOcean must be confusing it with something else, altho beats me with what. Even Wolfensteen '09 doesn't correspond to that.

It could be a subjective thing to me, I remember having a ton of fun infiltrating a secret weapons factory that was a huge level but was divided in four smaller maps and I got really annoyed how the level was divided and it was because after each smaller map there was a screen showing secrets found and a briefing screen that was a bit jarring and caused the impression of the maps feeling small. The maps felt like smaller disconnected setpieces because of that.

After trying out some of the more modern FPS i had to replay one older one just to remember how good they were.
Game loves sending groups of enemies from multiple locations at you.
