skacky Perhaps you can tell me how saves work in this game then. I installed the game, started it twice to see what's going on, got to the temple and quit and it got me back to start again on third try. Steam does tell me some files are corrupted though. It really melts my CPU too unlike other games including new stuff. Something appears not right. Too bad because I really liked what I saw and heard.

Day/night and the weather affect monster strength:

Petra is where you can restore health for free, buy some things during the day (the usefulness of which depends on your class), grind on zombies at night, and not take the man's daughter with you despite his offer.

You can jump to reach places otherwise inaccesible:

As a manbeast, fuck this place. If you're not aggressive enough the first time around, the enemies on platforms may block them for you (they will gather on the other side that you have to jump on, push you straight into water if you jump, and refuse to move elsewhere), making getting past this area impossible.

You gain perks and unlock combat skills at certain levels, and increase weapon skills by using them. Manbeast's high evasion greatly increases your survivability early on, and the beast shape also helps dealing with tougher enemies, but I presume later on other classes' versatility will probably be more desirable.

Fuck these bastards and their long-range homing bones too.

Space Beast Terror Fight

Image kinda says it all - a Space Hulk FPS of sorts where the interface obscures half the screen and gunflashes the other half.

There's a good game in there somewhere waiting to come out but right now it's pretty rough around the edges. Still find myself dipping in occasionally. It's pretty spooky and tense to play by yourself - the aliens hide in the walls (can be spotted using thermal vision) but there's enough visual interference that once stuff starts to come you basically start blindfiring into the halls which is kinda cool but also feels really dumb cause you're never certain when to stop; and if you stop too soon you can get 1-shot killed by an alien. There's some semblance of a level up system but I honestly have no idea what it is.

After you get all the cores, you then go to the reactor room and disable the coolants. This room was comfortably surrounded by doors with laser guards.

Fuck HELICOPTERS and fuck these dudes. The labyrinth mission is just insane, who though it was a good idea to make a bunch of one shotting armoured enemies respawn constantly on a large map with a lot of running?

Yeah, he was so tall he couldnt reach me under this small arch. 10/10 bossfight

It's one of those mods that add content for the sake of adding content, an admirable amount. Most new weapons are useless, re-skins, or don't fit the Duke. Levels have too many big open arenas for my taste, especially with those railgunners.

Yep, it's the Super Famicom exclusive Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei. I must be past the halfway point of the game, I've heard the dungeon I'm in (Mazurka) can be a huge pain in the ass as some enemies have a skill that delevel you, but so far it's been manageable.
