I wanted to say it ruins your images with poor jpg compression. But I just tested it to confirm, and apparently it doesn't do that anymore, at least not for file sizes up to 1 MB.

Imgur is perfectly fine for average users aka almost everyone, I just don't like how it converts larger GIFs into MP4 without asking first. Or used to, at least. If you want to be real elitist you'll pay $10, join Something Awful and use their exclusive host.

That's an optional thing now. It also has an video to gif function now that I just noticed. One reason I like imgur is that I can keep all of my uploads private, but direct link them here for viewing, so they're never on the public imgur feed.

Also the fact that it has it's own community, so the chances of coming back to a post a couple of years later, only to find a massive amount of dead links is reduced, because the host is not only supported through hosting. People keep imgur alive and profitable in other ways.

Devs said on Steam the reason for timing is that it's a demo made for events like PAX (still a weird design decision if reading these tutorials is important to figure out how to play) and the normal untimed demo is not ready yet.

Replayed original Silent Hill. Despite being really clunky and having some of atavisms left from Resident Evil (like pointless question "are you sure you want to pick up this item?", or a bit silly zombie doctors and animal monsters), it's still a great game. It also looks absolutely stunning for a PS1 game.
