from what i heard canon of vengeace is basically more "complete" version of the story. the main events are similar but with new characters and factions while canon of creation is basically the same. i was worried too because i thought vengeace is somewhat a completely divergent path / story like how SMT IV and SMT Apocalypse went, but it seems not to be that way.

New route relies on you knowing what happened in the original route. It's more of a "different perspective" scenario rather than a whole new story.

How can you prefer the original story if you haven't even played Vengeance? It's been a known fact since announcement that you can choose between the old story path and the new story path

It’s not a sequel, it’s a rerelease that includes a new route.
I do see your point now that I’ve thought about it a little longer, it would make sense to have a separate thread for it given the fact that IV:A got it’s own thread.

I keep checking and rechecking Steam (I hate how Steam’s release timer doesn’t take minutes into account, it always rounds down, so it says 2 hours ), like that’s somehow going to get the game to release faster.

Re-release or "definitive version with new content"? I don't know. I have been trying to avoid any spoilers so I'll leave it to you all to decide if VV is a "new" game and deserves a fresh thread or not.
