So it seems Skyrim's puzzles are too hard for some people :hmmm:

As a modder one item from hell in the game mechanics is the god awful walk mesh system, it is straight from Hell to us, and cost me a couple years of my futiile life. Amazing stuff. not for the faint of heart.

I repsectuflly diisagree, i have been playing Oblvion and modding it for many years now and find the story and the enviornemtn just fine. In fact better than Skyrim in many ways. I am sure there are a wide range of views of this but for me it is a beautiful world and well balanced with the technology and the content. It manages to create a believable world with a remarkable set of towns, and cities and a lot of wonderful scenery and locations. That plus the amazing construction set that allowed thousands of remarkable mods. And fortunately there are plenty of people still playing, modding and enjoying OB and will be for a long time i am sure. :)

Would you Requiem players recommend installing stuff like Frostfall and Realistic Needs, or would it make the game more chore than fun?

Frostfall uses a sophisticated system to track your location, weather, time of day, worn clothing, and more, to determine your current condition, in a seamless and immersive way. It also features a large variety of craftable camping equipment, including craftable torches. It is highly customizable, and very compatible with most other mods, including Climates of Tamriel, Wet and Cold, worn cloaks, food, timescale, lighting, werewolf, and vampire mods. See the Compatibility link below.

I dunno why people even bother saying 'oh it's damn cold man,' when you can literally cast flame out of your palm with BRAIN-power at level 1.
And seeing NPCs not being affected by this is an additional point on 'why do I even give a damn' to the system. There's no fun to be had in 'chopping wood, starting a fire' when the better option would be 'get warm in a safe place, ride horse super fast to where you need to be, and get shit done quick , go back to step 1. repeat'

same deal with realistics needs that adds 2 additional bars of hunger & thirst to manage.
Personally, I'd skip these 'survival' stuff that focuses on 'basic needs' - it didn't add much to the game but hassles.

THIS IS CAPTAIN PICARD I KNOW I AM GOING TO DIE
BUT THE SIGNS HAVE POINTED THAT YOU ARE MY SAVIOR

*picard dies*

NO. THE EMPEROR IS DEAD.
IT SEEMS HE TRUSTED YOU WITH HIS PRICELESS AMULET.
EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE A PRISONER 5 MINUTES AGO I DON'T THINK ITS STUPID TO TRUST YOU WITH THIS MISSION.
SO GO. TAKE AMULET. SAVE WORLD.

Moo?
Apparently per the lore timeline the lizards have taken over most of Morrowind. Maybe they march on Cyrodil next! Shallow C&C in TES 6L Black Marsh could be siding with the more nature/hippie oriented Argonians vs. the aggressive/expansionist Argonians.

Argonians earned some mad respect from me according to Skyrim lore. Daedra invade? Argonians flood back to the Black Marsh and proceed to swarm every Oblivion Gate, killing and stealing and wreaking havoc until Dagon realizes how stupid this has become and leaves them alone. Then they boot out the Empire and proceed to jump up and down on the collective heads of the Dunmer. Argonians took a level in badass while Bethesda homogenized the Bosmer.

I really want to play Daggerfall, but the combat is a real deterrent. It's not so much the fact that you have to swipe your mouse to hit as it is that it only seems to work 50% of the time. Sometimes I stand there, fighting, but half of the time I try to swipe my sword nothing happens. I'd kill for a combat system like Morrowind in DF.
