Whoa it actually got funded. Crazy times, who are those Fig investors, some lunatics? It literally seems better to go to casino and put everything on red.

Gay men with a lot of money or straights with a lot of money who want to donate to the cause. I doubt anyone is fabulously optimistic enough to believe they'll make money off this. Worth a shot, sure, but the primary motivation is Art.

If it's for the sake of art, they could buy a top tier pledge, but only 1 of the highest tiers sold.

0/20 $3,000 sold
0/5 $5,000 sold
0 $7,500 sold
0 $10,000 sold
1 $20,000 sold

Liam makes Gaider appear straight in comparison.

Gay men can have quite a bit of discretionary income, but blowing thousands of dollars on a game is still a bit much.

Their proof of concept is out. https://summerfallstudios.itch.io/chorus-concept

Well, I am still interested though still have no idea if this will actually be good since none of this will actually be in the final game. I wonder how much they actually have it this point cause I get the feeling that they don't even have a real prototype or a clear idea until this point. It certainly hasn't convinced me to give them any money.

Update #16: THANK YOU!
POSTED: 11/10/2019

You did it! Chorus is successfully funded thanks to your support and hard work sharing, tweeting, and talking.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. This is a dream project for the entire team.

We'd also like to throw a big thank you and shoutout to the ever-incredible Film Victoria, without whom Summerfall Studios would not exist. Governments that support game development make a huge difference, and the state of Victoria in Australia is a wonderful example of how that can work.

So, what now?
We're taking next week off, because while it's been amazing, it's also been a massive amount of work! Once we get back, we'll be jumping into the end of pre-production, ensuring everything is lined up to start full production next year.

The next month or two will likely be fairly quiet as we sort all of the administrative details that come out of running a Fig campaign, finish up pre-production and plan out production of the game in earnest.

We're aiming to get one update out to you a month, detailing what we've been up to, sharing news, and giving you sneak peeks of what we're working on. So, stay tuned!

Reward fulfilment
Rewards take a long time to put together! We aim to get almost all rewards to you before the game ships (except this that we've specified will come after of course), but we want to make sure we're putting the focus on making the game the best it can be, and ensuring quality in what we're making for you. We'll update you as we go, sharing as we're working on everything!

The first set of reward surveys will be happening early next year, once production on the game starts in earnest, so if you don't hear anything in the next month, don't panic! It's happening! We just want to make sure we aren't stretching ourselves too thin. The last thing we want to do is deliver something subpar.

Rewards that require involvement
For those of you who have pledged for a reward that requires participation on your part (such as the singing or design rewards), we'll get in touch next year to start sorting out logistics, timelines and talking to you about how those will come to fruition.

"SO WHAT DO WE DO IN THE INTERIM?!"
WELL. I'm glad you asked! Here's some other games to check out!

John Wick Hex

Scored by our wonderful composer, Austin Wintory, John Wick Hex is an incredibly innovative game we thoroughly recommend checking out!

Astrologaster

If you're looking for another game influenced by musical theatre, check out the recently released Astrologaster!

Death Stranding

Troy Baker plays one of the main characters in Hideo Kojima's latest!

Dominique Pamplemousse & Dominique Pamplemousse in "Combinatorial Explosion!"

The sequel to one of the first videogame musicals, it's only $1 on itch.io! Go check it out!

Until next time!
Thanks again, everyone <3

Everything about this game sounds like a vanity project - but hey, if it scams stupid people out of their money and then bombs, world will probably be a better place.

Art looks good.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Pathfinder: Wrath
Seeing Gaider complain about reactions to his writing in Chorus (the current status of which I have no idea) reminded me of another game: Hades. That game kind of accidentally managed to do everything Chorus appears to be aiming to do... without even seeming to try. And it's an actually fun game. But who knows, maybe Gaider can turn it into some sort of marketing trick by way of blurbs or recommendations or whatever.

Gaider is moving to *Australia*? Is he fucking insane?

Fuck off, Gaider! We don't need another woketard cunt coming here to lecture us about how we should all fuck each other up the ass for literal shits and forget the giggles.
