Just goes to show how DLsite is failing, losing even in the doujin eroge department to Steam. Also, isn't it funny that the Japanese websites have to censor their tags while Steam apparently doesn't have to?

Honestly, either they are getting paid by the owners of real porn platforms or direct competitors like Steam. I talked with a DLsite employee some years ago and they had never even considered talking with Koei and such. I would definitely pay a pretty penny to get their games DRM-free but I don't see it ever happening.

Would be nice if the men making it are not complete cucks too. Funny how one of the better porn games i've played was made allegedly by a wombyn. And even degen shit (which mostly borders on vanilla) there is pretty much player choice driven. Story is pretty fun, hell, she even added simple mma tournament minigame into it.

Lately i've been playing some Mad Island - your least insane weeb game. There you can just catch natives, castrate them and make them gather resources for you while you rape their women. The game has some actual gameplay, albeit just crappy version of Don't Starve\The Forest. But it was fun for a while. Much better than your average slave trainer. It still needs lots of time in the oven though. And the story is just typical schizo weeb stuff.

Didn't even pay attention to DLsite not having the other language versions this time. But this again shows that DLsite is losing to Steam, considering they apparently lost the language rights this time.

Ah, and more regarding recent censorship: DLsite has actually deleted works/circles without so much as informing them prior to that.

The 2019 game is called: "Imouto! Life ~Monochrome~", the 2022 one is called: "Imouto! Life ~Fantasy~". So while Fantasy is maybe in monochrome, referring to it like that is weird/wrong when there is a game literally called "Monochrome". They are also not their own series but like game 8 and 9 in a series called "Limit?!".

You mean Sister Travel? With the beasts and plants and such? Yeah, I played that one and it's ok. And while I own the rest of the developer's games as well, I don't think I've ever touched them. Will probably buy the upcoming DLC for Fantasy too which should come out within the next week or two.

Interesting that they have now included all-ages goods as well. But in the end, it serves the needs of Japanese users, so it's good for them at least. I've actually tried to use a VPN to circumvent the block before but it somehow didn't work. My guess is that they are blocking some IPs from known VPN services? It's annoying because I can't tell my proxy service to order from there anymore for some exclusive bonus. i skipped honey select because it took four phds to understand how to install it with all the patches, mods and stuff. recently i managed to try hs2, and the disappointment has been immeasurable. stiff animations, polygon compenetrations in all the wrong places, gameplay not found, slim waifus database, and the realistic approach to graphics lends its side to uncanny valley. and the main character has an unchangable 50 cm shlong, not even john holmes could suspend his dibelief. it's a shitshow. soon after i discovered its devs closed down last year. totally deserved.
then few days ago i met this "koikatsu" which caught my eye, something which never happens since i'm pavlovianly used to skip any 18+ content i see. so, why not? let's raise a cup to illusion, if the game they're famous for is such a piece of shit, i have no idea what's waiting for me with this. a masterpiece was waiting. alright, for being an adult game, which are notoriously catastrophic disasters, but a category masterpiece nonetheless. animations are smoother, much better connected, rarely a wrong compenetration, there's many, like a ton, a neverending stream, the girls talk, some quite a lot, they have stuff to say, responsive to what you're doing and how you're doing it, boobs tend to act like real boobs despite the total animu approach to graphics, which is both way more detailed than hs2 and lets modders build a gigantic database of waifus, old and new alike.
it has bugs, some quite irritating but nothing showstopping, and i guess there's some actual gameplay down there, with a story too, some say.

both pro and con: it supports some... "darker" approach, but if you realize it's not developed enough... well, we have a problem.
