I refused helping Minsc upon meeting him in Nashkel… and this retard attacked me. Definitely the most overrated character

I let Minsc attack me in every playthrough and leave him dead in the street. He is nuts, but I don't find him fun like Xzar. Besides being crazy, Minsc is too loud and egocentric, but that alone shouldn't make him so intolerable. I guess his stupidity puts him over the top? In any case, good riddance.

He kinda grows on you.

I last played it several patches ago. I probably shouldn't quote whatever condition it's supposed to be in. I also had enemies spawning if I rested outside and got attacked that scaled to my level. So I'd get a mob of 650XP enemies that gave out several times more XP than a single area would, and would totally throw the game off in terms of XP, and additionally make exploring redundant.

I don’t get it, isn’t playing the original campaign with TotSC a cheating essentially? I capped at 89000 xp long before Baldur’s Gate in the pre-TotSC vanilla campaign, as such I’m going to face Sarevok at these same levels whilst TotSC increased cap to 161000 which basically allows you to face Sarevok being much more skilled for the fight.

*it’s not that only the Sarevok fight counts, it applies equally to all the late game.

You're forgetting about dual-classing. Most of the good dual-classes can't be done without TotSC XP cap.

You're forgetting about dual-classing. Most of the good dual-classes can't be done without TotSC XP cap.

Dual-classing is a bit hit-and-miss. If you are going to import your character to BG2, you're better off waiting until then before dualling in most cases.
