I just finished abg1 run withn npc mod, very nice of them to keep the spirit by adding stuff that lead nowhere and unfinished quest.

I was already knee-deep in decline, so I'm currently going trough SoD. Wish me luck.

Can't you get the pin anyway? It's tied to Elminster approval, not the romance.
I couldn't know because I always romanced Jaheira.
You get the pin if your rep is higher than 15. Something that might not happen to everyone.

Happy you took time to google it and corrected your wrong statement about needing to romance Jaheira to get it.

I must have kicked her out before the birthday gitft, I am bit scared to ask what is it
Nothing big, just her panties.
interesting way to admit you played through the imoen romance mod
Rusty I dont think its because of what you suggesting, if I understand your post its about the loli thread?

I tell you why I say that, Romance in games is so far from RL Romance or our concerns with loli porn which is real. I think people can get real satisfaction from child porn but a Imoen Romance, like all Romances, is just a few dialogue options and then you RP which is fine for me because of my imagination?

Also I like Imoen as a sister, she is cute but annoying but I appreciate her sensitivity like when she gave me a necklace for my birthday. And you can tell her annoying views on the world are because she has been so sheltered. You know in RL that will change as she experiences the reality of the world but she will be a good person just not so ....Imoenish

I love choosing my party members on those considerations when I have extra members who can offer the same roles, I can drop Imoen if I want because I have her thief skills already with Vienxay. But she is my friend my Candlekeep and its nice to have someone who will always be loyal

But you can have a legitimate Romance with her if you really dont mind her banter because your character is the same age more or less? That would be considered acceptable

But I like bad girls , so Viconia and Vienxay are more my type and they more mature on topics :salute:

Skie has reasonable writing in NPC mod. It really is a mod of average highs and great lows. The pair of complete slimeball and pathetic coddled richgirl voiced by Azula from Avatar of all things is that thing I like BG1 companion options for. And then you get ransom money for it, nice. I guess you're supposed to eventually drop Eldoth and play Princess Maker. There's also tri path if Garrick is present same as in vanilla. You really find some effort put in mods in most unexpected places.

Replacing Shar Teel with Skie did up the difficulty of combat tho :kingcomrade:

In the end what really dooms writing in party rpgs with classes is just lack of actual roleplaying. Never Jaheira, a druid, would say anything as you search forests for bandit camp. And that continued on into most other party RPGs. Companions have sobby stories and sometimes long chains of quests. But they don't act in character and change problem solving in the game.

Hmm, I remember Jaheira saying stuff about monsters present the first time you entered a new map.

Yeah thats added by the mod. And things like Kivan rushing to save some miner at Nashkel. It's decent, but doesn't affect the structure of the game (not that I expect that just from banter mod of course).

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
I have the following issue: I've been playing a Cleric of Helm. I've done all the Stronghold quests. Gone through the Underdark. Came back.

As I've entered the Temple of Helm a "cutscene" tried to happen, where Ti'Vael (which I suggested he surrender to the authorities and let the system do its work) comes out and wants to say something, BUT the dialogue DOESN'T trigger.

If anyone knows how to make NPCs trigger their dialogue, especially that one in particular, type here, PM me. I'd be most curious to make things work.

Did Beamdog finally fix the Jaheira romance bug? I remember playing the EE back in 2015 and it was still broke. Had to dig around in my old notes to remind myself how to fix it.

I didnt even realize it was part of the Mod it just seemed so .....Imoenish
Practically everything is part of the mod. Companions have almost 0 dialogue after recruiting them.
Do you mean the mod removes the normal companion dialogue and uses its own, I wasnt aware of that but it makes sense. Was the original better for companion ?

bg1 has barely any companion interactions, with some notable exceptions e.g., for some odd reason, Edwin & Alora have extensive amounts of banter/dialogue despite it being a combo almost nobody will ever use.
most of that stuff began in bg2

The mod install order if not done in the right way can create problems, I experienced it in my first install but I reinstalled the game and then loaded the high level suggestion and it all seemed fine with Modmerge being first

I would raise this on Beamdog forums because there are some inconsistencies with advice and the troubleshooting is not always clear. I also think I saw question on the Beamdog forums ?
