BTW, why is there mongorion vampire? Did some Chinese guy build a wall in the area?
It's called the largest contiguous land empire in human history for a reason:

But this game is when? 14th, 15th century? Renaissance longswords on people wearing breastplate and brigandine as was common in the 14th and 15th centuries. They didn't keep their holdings in eastern Europe for very long and when they did, they relied more on the local Tatars (the volga tatars in particular are a fairly white looking group), as the official government for where the portions of the empire did remain.
and why exactly vampire should care about all this shit?
To blend in better. Why fuck around in some village in Eastern Europe when you can dominate some Asian village without having to learn a new language?

he's not hiding between peasants. also unlike negros he's not even uncommon in eastern europe.
But he is uncommon in eastern europe. Even in those times.
nah. nomads were used for centuries in wars between eastern european rulers even before mongol invasion and long after them. often they also were blood relatives of local nobility or just accepted christianity and pledged loyalty.
their war tactics and equip also had huge influence on slavs, considering they were main enemies.
Not all Nomads are mongoloids btw. Those in the European steppe certainly weren't.

Early Pontic Steppe Turks were heavily mixed with previous Sarmatian populations. Kipchacks, Pechenegs etc. were described with red hair, the further you went to the west the more sarmatian features were present, of course with each fresh wave of turks form the east, asian features grown stronger. Tatars were the strongest (they completly absorbed, killed or sold into slavery(Venetians and Genoese traded so much turkic slaves to Muslims from Mongols that you could say this was one of the biggest reasons for rise of Mamelukes in Egypt) earlier Turks) and practically the last wave of mongoloids coming to Europe.
Fun fact when Cumans escaped from Mongols to settle in Hungary, they travelled together with last known tribe of steppe Sarmatians, ancestors of Jasz ethnic group, lost their language sadly, other than them only Ossetians that survived in the Caucasus remained.

Also that duke or noble has top tier armor design, i think im going to try to recreate it later in KCD.

Too bad the game takes place on earth. Huge wasted opportunity especially in a open world witcher like game. I'm sorry mideval fantasy europe is infinitely more boring to explore then say nosgoth or a original fantasy world. I rather explore a alien dark fantasy world then kingdom comes with vamp shit. Unless the gameplay is amazing this may not be even worth pirating.

No, the problem with games is they are often in (too much of) a fantasy world, based on European 'medieval' world. If it's not overdone it's good.

Settings such as KCD's historical one are still vastly superior though.

After watching the trailer I like some things in it, design choices and general art direction seem passable. I like how the vampires look. Reminds me of the 30 Days of Night comic book, where vampires looked like monsters. Hey, have you noticed that White Men are actually evil, and the jewish bolsheviks a diverse and inclusive group of vampires came to disrupt the feudal order and institute their own rule? And they are the good guys because the CEO vampire heals the girl? Very cool. Definitely not a dead horse of a trope, I guess humans really do be the real monsters huh.

To be honest I wouldn't mind playing as a bolshevik vampire killing humans, I like evil playthroughs in games, but the most concerning part of the trailer is the gameplay reveal. Standing on top of a tower like in Assassin's Creed, a snippet of a boss fight that's clearly soulslike (more like soulsdecline am I right), a shot of the protag overlooking a clearly ubisoftesque open world. Not looking good at all, will probably be more of Witcher 3 boring popamole combat combined with useless and boring Assassin's Creed parkour.

Don't worry, one day someone will make a game set in the Requiem Vampire Knight's setting of Resurrection. With its massive fleets of airships piloted by pirate ghouls, machine guns shooting stakes, nuclear bombs made of the relics of saints, and the fact that most vampires are reincarnated Waffen SS soldiers. It will be a great game. But for now, we must settle on the 14th century Carpathians where everyone speaks modern English.

So what distinguishes this from all those other interchangeable medieval fantasy games?
What was last one semi-good with AAA production qualities made by team of 120. Name me the name in last year. Ok, in last 2 years. Ok, in last 5 years. Ok, in last 7 years. Ok, last 10 years. Witcher 3? Witcher 3, with all his faults. Who's Director of DawnWalker? Director of Witcher 3

What's so hard to understand about small hype someone would have for this? There are 1000 ways they can fuck this up, for now I'm hopeful for small incline
