Ease yourself. This is only the announcement trailer for the announcement they've made before to announce the game reveal.

Probably too early to say anything, but let's hope it doesn't turn into Blood Knights. On the optimistic side this team was supposedly responsible for overlooked Thronebreaker. On the other hand that was in 2018.

This kind of competition is good for us. You miss 100% of shots you don't take. I'd rather see what Dawnwalker has to offer, than miss the opportunity for yet another RPG, even if ultimately I end up being disappointed. This will also be a good contrast to The Witcher 4.

If they are smart they'd lean into what W4 can't offer & the aspects its criticized for: subtle rivalry. They could also play it friendly as possible which wouldn't be as fruitful for them. Tho if they have a really strong showing the audience could do it for them.

Game is heavily inspired by Drakula. It's about vampires, and rest of European medieval mythos, set in historical 14th century eastern Europe, inside fictional valley where vampires rule(?). Your character is some kind of Blade/Hybrid/Witcher who belongs to both worlds - World of Light and World of Dark. There is heavy emphasis on day/night cycle, simulated world, quests with open solutions and free style gameplay (?) (think medieval Deus-Ex). Big and first trailer reveal is scheduled for Monday, 13th of January alongside also longer look at gameplay. Whole event should last 45min and this is game made by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, ex-CDPR co-founder, Witcher 1 and Witcher 3 director, who was austed from company by hippy, feminist, vegan ghoul Marcin Iwinski for being toxic bully who forced devs to crunch too much. Gameplay is third-person, open world, RPG, single-player. We will see...

Optimistic about this, hopefully they strike gold and establish this as a solid new IP.

People are starved for action adventure RPGs in the vein of the Witcher.

Says the protagonist’s name is Coen. Appears to be a Geralt like set protagonist so the degree of customization we will have is probably the biggest thing I’m interested to find out more about.

Cool, but sounds a little too good. But maybe.
So far everything including Devs' photos looks good. I mean, nothing except WOKE mental plague stopped Devs after circa 2015 from continuing to release dozens of ambitious, working, high graphic fidelity, with good stories, innovative games every year. Nothing technologically prevents DawnWalker from being everything it says it is. But is it? We'll see...

What's promising is that lead Dev was expelled from CD Projekt for being "naughty, sexist, bully boss who forced Devs to crunch". I mean, that sounds really promising!

True, that sounds promising :)

The bigger asshole he was back there, the better for us and the game.

So far my WOKE sniff test is negative. But I have sniffed their bios, sniffed their website, sniffed their social media, sniffed their company motto, sniffed game's concept art and teasers and so far I found: nothing troubling!

Mission
We want to do two things. Sounds modest? Well, keep reading.

One is to revolutionize the RPG genre. We love these games, we’ve been playing and making them for decades – and now we want to take them a step further. Our titles will be quality driven and innovative. We don’t want to create another game, we want to create the game. We’re experts in our respective fields, confident in our abilities, and wildly passionate about what we do.

Second – is to create a studio where developers can thrive, united by a common goal and a sense of camaraderie. Our priority is the team, and the team’s priority is to create the best RPG games the world has seen.

Ambitious? Watch us.

We'll see on Monday. Won't say anything else. Don't wanna jinx it

This might be Witcher 4. CD Projekt won't make one. There is also mention of DawnwalkerS. It seems they might be like Witchers

You know that there will be like four of them in the game at most and inventing a proper noun for their autism is the sort fantasy cheese that is easy to blow in your face.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
My gut feeling tells me this will be "we got Witcher 4 at home", which might still be better than the real deal. I don't have high hopes for this one, but I hope that I am wrong.

A lot of optimism for a game by a company co-founded by a troon:

their talent went off to found Rebel Wolves and they're left with activists and troons
The talent that went off to found Rebel Wolves:
