next time you go into a dungeon could you check if you can loot some chests twice? you loot everything, close and open and you see a couple more that probably didnt fit inside first time

Had it a couple of times. Both with outdoor and indoor chests.

I think it happened to me once, yes. There were a lot of chests in that room so I thought I just overlooked some things the first time.

Hmm i don't think that it is a bug or new thing perse. I always check chests twice because sometems there is not enough space to display all the items in the chest,so it looks like you could open them twice. But in reality is the loot from the first chest that wasn't shown.

Come to think of it, I do seem to recall a similar thing in some my previous MM7 or MM8 playthroughs.

and you can change the numbers through a special menu in the options.
Where are those options? When you change worlds or what ?

Didn't have any sort of menu or options when changing worlds. I did it through cheating tho, as I didn't feel like fighting off all the wisps and basilisks in Murmurwoods just to be able to cast TP.

It is in the MM6 too,it is a nasty thing since noobs could lose quite a lot of good loot that way.

One issue I have with the interface is I can't see my hired followers, so I can't dismiss them either. Not that I want to, but there's one quest for which I have to bring two specific ones to a castle, and I can't hire them when I already got two filled slots...

This is something that later fan patches did to fix an original bug with all 3 games (I think GrayFace patch initially changed it quite early on, mods that branch from GrayFace or require it will obviously have the fix too).

What happens in the original engine is that the exact placement of each item in the chest is random every time you open a particular chest, even if the contents are nonrandom. So if you save, open, then reload and open again, then keep doing this, you'll find the same items but jumbled around differently each time. One nasty bug in the original games is that, if the chest is supposed to spawn a large enough number of items, there'd be a chance, depending on the random tetris arrangement, that not all items would fit; the extra items would simply disappear from the game and you'd never know it, if you didn't know about the bug and that this particular chest HAS to contain a specific item (the bug was most obvious with set artifacts and relics, but I think it could even happen with quest items).

GrayFace's initial fix was to make it possible for "missed" items to reappear in the chest when you reopened it. Since then I think he's done several attempts to get the random jumbling under control so that everything can be spawned at once.

I take it that it is the bloster thing. How does it work? Is it world by world thing,or is it when you enter a dungeon or is it when it is respawned?

I'm not sure when it is applied, probably on reloading or transitioning between loading zones.

I use the community branch which changes the way it works (less ridiculous HP bloat through bolster). I am playing without bolster right now but will switch it on once I move over to the MM7 world.

I found them Efe ,it is a bad mod instal and wasn't showing.

I had noticed that the classes are a mess lol. You play with the ones that are part of the starting game you chose. Sooo you would either chose MM6 or MM7 as a start. Now i am curious which one is better,mm7 or mm6.

Also the free mouse look is pretty shit lol, because you have to click on the enemy to shoot while spamming A or S it happens a lot faster and more efficient.

if your mouse is over an enemy A,S targets that enemy, otherwise targets closest to screen.

I have noticed that there exist a class Peasant - is this filler class or it class can lead to something interesting? Like choosing m&m 7/8 class later (I think to start from m&m 6)?
Sorry, if my conclusions sound dumb, but I don't remember such class in my previous playthrough at all.

I *think* class selection is tied to character portraits, so if you pick a portrait that has a class not represented in the starting continent you chose, it is replaced by peasant.

One of the readmes explained it, but its a mod class that starts you off weaker than any other class, but whenever you reach level 1, you can choose your class. I have no idea if it has any advantages.

installed the M&M 6-7-8 combi mod
started out in the world of 6, five characters, all-female party (I picked, of course, the ones with barefoot paperdolls :M )
already killed a bunch of goblins and found some treasure hidden under a random rock

I'm having fun. Might and Magic is just so much fun despite how simple its gameplay loop is.
Yeah, I think that is what made the series so beloved, unlike more cerebral series like Wizardry or more developed like Ultima Might and Magic simply focused on fun gameplay and rewarding exploration
I often tend to think of Wizardry 7, Darklands, Gothic or New Vegas as my favorites games ever but I think the most fun I ever had was always with the Might and Magic games

Ahhh that is what i am saying lol. The point is that mouse look is shit because you attack far too slow and end up doing only a fracture of the damage that you do using A and S. With mouse look you have to manually target the the enemy hitbox and that is hard. They should have made it like MM9.

Not fully, the class is dependant on the starting game/world you chose. Only if chose to start in Jadame/MM8 the class is affected by the portrait. Tho i do have a dark elf bitch that is a MM7 archer and still have master merchant and dark elf abilities.

LoL the arena is broken,if you really care about the shitty arena quest, you have to start the game in mm7. In mm6 i just lose rep for killing shitty peasants in the arena and guards attack me lol.

Also class system is a mess, they should just chose one of the three and stick to it.

Does anyone else have lag?
