Still more interesting than the ultra dull Conflux. It's the only HoMM faction I avoid playing if I can.
Weird, I thought I was the only one who thought that. They tried too hard with adapting the elementals into a coherent faction and the psychic (or whatever the tier 6 was) ones felt considerably amateurish compared to other unit designs.

The only fun Conflux unit is the Phoenix

The Forge was never going to be mega high tech. It's a faction of evil monsters who got their hands on an ancient weapons forge (the evil ending of M&M7). They don't know the technology, they can't change or replicate it. They are just manufacturing guns and giving them to monsters, hence Ogres with rocket launchers and Naga's with blasters.

Yeah, but at the M&M 7 evil ending they got hands on a replicator spewing-out sci-fi weapons. I can imagine them using it to get hi-tech equipment that looks like magic or create robots that look like golems. I can't really get behind an idea of them just sticking chainsaws on zombies or tank threads on nagas. Why use such advanced technology to create something so primitive?

It doesn't help that elementals by themselves aren't particularly interesting creatures.

You'd have to talk to them for better download links. I'm planning to do Merge on my next LP. As a SOLO Dragon.

next time you go into a dungeon could you check if you can loot some chests twice? you loot everything, close and open and you see a couple more that probably didnt fit inside first time

I think it happened to me once, yes. There were a lot of chests in that room so I thought I just overlooked some things the first time.

Had it a couple of times. Both with outdoor and indoor chests.

Hmm i don't think that it is a bug or new thing perse. I always check chests twice because sometems there is not enough space to display all the items in the chest,so it looks like you could open them twice. But in reality is the loot from the first chest that wasn't shown.

Come to think of it, I do seem to recall a similar thing in some my previous MM7 or MM8 playthroughs.

and you can change the numbers through a special menu in the options.
Where are those options? When you change worlds or what ?

Didn't have any sort of menu or options when changing worlds. I did it through cheating tho, as I didn't feel like fighting off all the wisps and basilisks in Murmurwoods just to be able to cast TP.

It is in the MM6 too,it is a nasty thing since noobs could lose quite a lot of good loot that way.

One issue I have with the interface is I can't see my hired followers, so I can't dismiss them either. Not that I want to, but there's one quest for which I have to bring two specific ones to a castle, and I can't hire them when I already got two filled slots...

This is something that later fan patches did to fix an original bug with all 3 games (I think GrayFace patch initially changed it quite early on, mods that branch from GrayFace or require it will obviously have the fix too).

What happens in the original engine is that the exact placement of each item in the chest is random every time you open a particular chest, even if the contents are nonrandom. So if you save, open, then reload and open again, then keep doing this, you'll find the same items but jumbled around differently each time. One nasty bug in the original games is that, if the chest is supposed to spawn a large enough number of items, there'd be a chance, depending on the random tetris arrangement, that not all items would fit; the extra items would simply disappear from the game and you'd never know it, if you didn't know about the bug and that this particular chest HAS to contain a specific item (the bug was most obvious with set artifacts and relics, but I think it could even happen with quest items).

GrayFace's initial fix was to make it possible for "missed" items to reappear in the chest when you reopened it. Since then I think he's done several attempts to get the random jumbling under control so that everything can be spawned at once.

I take it that it is the bloster thing. How does it work? Is it world by world thing,or is it when you enter a dungeon or is it when it is respawned?

I'm not sure when it is applied, probably on reloading or transitioning between loading zones.

I use the community branch which changes the way it works (less ridiculous HP bloat through bolster). I am playing without bolster right now but will switch it on once I move over to the MM7 world.

I found them Efe ,it is a bad mod instal and wasn't showing.

I had noticed that the classes are a mess lol. You play with the ones that are part of the starting game you chose. Sooo you would either chose MM6 or MM7 as a start. Now i am curious which one is better,mm7 or mm6.

Also the free mouse look is pretty shit lol, because you have to click on the enemy to shoot while spamming A or S it happens a lot faster and more efficient.
