So is this better than Dishonored?

Dishonored is a pretty good game. Most Codex complaints are about lack of challenge more than anything else. Thief has a lot more wrong with it, apparently.

Bioshock 1 was a consolized/half-assed SS2 clone.

Bioshock 2 was a fun shooter inspired by Bioshock 1.

Your opinion is invalid since you obviously have no time to play any of these games.

So a game with somwhat similar gameplay elements and story telling techiques, but set in a completely different universe with a completely different story not even tangentially related to SS2 is now a consolized SS2-clone? The edgy retardness is high in this one.

Bioshock 1 had a wonderfully realized atmosphere, sound and art style, with a wonderfully realized "villain" and a great plot twist that only liars and arrogant, though well versed players, say that they saw coming from a mile away. One could say that it didn't age gracefully, but at the time it looked wonderful.

While what you say is true, and it's getting some undeserved hipster-flack recently due to Infinite being such utter garbage, it's also a poor SS2 clone. Down to the big "plot twist" being the exact same plot device used in SS2.

Bioshock was a half-assed SS2 clone, but even then it's a pretty great game compared to almost anything else released at that time. These were the early Xbox 360 days when PC gaming was "dead" again and everything was shit on all fronts.

Unfortunately Infinite threw away most of what made the original a decent game.

Bioshock was fun for about the first 1/3. Then you've unlocked all the guns and abilities and the enemies just keep repeating with more health.

Bioshock is a boring turd, never got past those fisherman freezer tunnels because the game got unbearably boring. I can't recall a single thing from that game, aside from the fact you had Tommy gun, could shoot lightning, play SS2-ripped minigames and collect random speechlogs in most bizarre places.

At least I can voice a random, two-sentence long comment on an internet forum, thanks to having played it and forming an opinion about it. Damn, it was worth it! :negative:

I uninstalled Bioshock after about three or so hours. Agreed, boring.

Your loss, it and and the sequel are excellent games. I don't care what they ripped off or from where, the games were really good and enjoyable to play.

Wow, the game is super cool, I got lost in the city, so big in complex.

I can't fucking distinguish what the fuck is in front of me and if it's climbable, ffs.

Bioshock had an interesting premise and art direction, which for a while made up for the poor game and paper-thin world under it.
The System Shock games were generic SF filler surrounded by interesting, complex mechanics and competent storytelling (SS2 had glaring issues, but it got away with them because the rest was so good and it was a legit attempt at survival horror).
Thief 4 is not fooling anyone with Bioshock's glamour, but it has no interesting/solid gameplay or story construction to carry the bland setting either.

All the day 1 buyers of this game should get a tag, and be blocked from complaining about this game since they are hypocritical fags, anyways.

What Day 1 buyers? Everybody has either pirated it or is talking about livestreams that they watched.

Considering it's currently being outsold on Steam by a medieval simcity game created by a single guy, I would venture to say that there aren't many D1Pers in general.

So, I beat that Lockdown mission.
Verdict? I should take a shower. I feel like I volunteered to allow a rhino to take a dump on my face. Good thing that I didn't waste my monies on this.

But still, the game is THE HORROR, THE HORROR.

I did a quick perusal of TTGL and I find it to be a very odd forum. There are so many apologists and astroturfers, but there are a lot of people who represent a more codexian view point too. Unfortunately the rules seem to prevent posters from calling the idiots what they are.

Should change your title to 'definitely.'
