Debating if to get Outlaws (1997) now, or wait till Force Engine officially supports it. Price has been constant. Price has been constant, and there's always threat of remaster taking it up in price or delisted. Anyone know what the progress on TFE support has been? Newest I can find is that it was planned to support it around this time but can't find newer info.

Was gonna buy Okami. Had it on PS2. But sounds like it's a mediocre port and should be emulated. Probably buy nothing again.

It's just 2 Euroshekels mate. Buy it now then play it once TFE 2.0 hits.

Lmao, did Veilguard just nuke Bioware's value as a company?

Just checked and Merde Effect is like 90% off, like five bucks for the whole trilogy. Price is so low i'm mildly curious.

It's not just Bioware. EA always gives deep discounts during sales, with many of their high-profile output being 90% off, despite being relatively recent.

Of course, they're not being charitable. They want to increase engagement and player-base on Steam (a quarterly-report kind of thing) and make new players invested in their franchises by practically giving them away, to increase potential customers for future entries.

For example, the reason for Mass Effect's deep discount is to make more people invested in the new Mass Effect that's coming out. You own a franchise on your Steam, you're more likely to buy the new one too.

The revenue of older games is so insignificant and slow that these big companies don't even care. Ubisoft does it too.

Well, is it worth it at such a price?

Also, why not make it zero at this point.

If they give away their stuff for free, a lot of throwaway accounts that can't even buy games on Steam and just play free games (like Dota and CS) will snatch them up and skewer the numbers. They just want their games on accounts that have the ability to buy games on Steam. I know that seems like a low bar, but it's an important one.

Also giving away games for free will piss off the people who bought it. It does more harm than good.

Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition
EVERSPACE™ - Ultimate Edition

Also got Outward: Definitive Edition from a keyshop, saving an extra Jew buck!

Watch me as i never play a single one of them.

Well, it's a new game.

The one that piss me off is Grim Dawn. I saw the historically low price and figured now it's the time, but nope, still 25 euros for the whole pack, same as every other sale.

I bought some games before Christmas then got a $50 gift card for Christmas and loaded it into steam and don't know what to do with it. Path of Exile 2, Silent Hill 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring (i have it on xbox though)?

Path of Exile will go free after EA I think. Tsushima is pretty fun for a ubisoft far cry/assassins creed clone if you like the setting. No reason to buy Elden Ring if you have it on Xbox. Haven't seen footage from SH2 so can't say anything.

Path of Exile 2 going free after EA? What makes you say that? It's got such a low price that it makes me think they want to mass-sell the game at 10EUR on every possible Steam sale. Maybe it could go free in a few years but going straight to free after early access sounds far fetched to me.

I've seen overall a very positive reception of the Silent Hill 2 remake. It seems to be one of the better remakes, just like the one they did for Resident Evil 4. Or to be more precise I haven't seen any long-ass negative reviews for Silent Hill so that ought to be a good sign. That and dunkey released a 10min long video about the game - he doesn't do that for titles he doesn't enjoy.

Fucking hell that Mass Effect shit is like 100GB to download. Can't pick and chose which game to download and to add insult to injury you need the EA app to run them.

I was ready to accept i just threw 4 euros into the wind on account of the games likely bieng shit but i didn't expect to regret it without even trying to at least play them lmao.

Teaches me a lesson i guess. Never give slop a chance.

If you check Steam in the rightmost column there's a list of descriptions of each game, and if there's third party tomfoolery involved it warns you there. In this case it does require online activation and Origin to be installed, as well as a third party EULA and terms of service.

A friend gifted me this. This is my first time going through the series but so far I'm enjoying the first one. The game looks good, the narrative moves quickly and overall the story is interesting.

Might be worth the 100gb. It's for all 3 games. You can select which one you want to play once in-game. Just for comparison BG3 is 150gb.

Just because Call of Duty is 300gb does not mean that Mass Effect has to be 100gb.

I don't have a problem with the size it's that i can't pick and chose the game i want to install.

Imagine if you had to install all three Witcher games just because you had the itch to play the first one.

Yeah it sucks, but once it's installed you can at least remove the two you're not currently playing.
There's also a bunch of localization files that take a lot of space.
Once you get down to a bare, single installed game the size is reasonable.

Of course though, there are mods to consider as well....

Well, i guess it's be what it'd be. I doubt i'll play those games more than once anyway so i can just finish them and then erase the thing. For less then two euros each it's not that bad.

From what i remember, first one ought to be more in line with KOTOR gen Bioware, second is more collar grabbing, push a button/awesome oriented while the third one managed to even piss off normies so i suspect i'll likely won't make it far.
