Metro bundle is cheaper individually. At least in the UK. Only spotted this when I was trying to work out if I got all the Exodus DLC in the gold edition

£27.51 for the bundle and £24.67 individually. Same stuff.

You should purchase Gold Edition and then the bundle. That would be cheaper: £24.37. The reason why it's cheaper that way is because of the package Gold Edition, which has a better discount than the bundle (5%).

You'll have to understand how these new "bundles" work. Once you purchase Gold Edition it will be excluded from the Bundle (Metro Exodus and the Expansion Pass) and it will cost you £5.68 (2,99 + 2,99 - 5% discount).

The discount they have on the left (the greyed out one) is the constant one (unless publisher changes it, sometimes they juggle with it, but usually not).

The discount on the right (the green one) is actually a combination of discounts on items inside the bundle. It doesn't mean jack shit. You'll have to check discount on each item inside the bundle.

Which means that if every Metro will get a discount of 80%, the bundle will automatically change its price to 0.95 * (0.2 * 14.99 + 0.2 * 14.99 + 0.2 * 19.99 + 0.2 * 34.99) = ~ £16 (if I'm not mistaken).

Whether it will be still cheaper to purchase Gold Edition first depends on the discount on this package. If it will still be -66%, then not.

It's OK. A slow-burning survival game, in which the enemy is nature itself, mostly pack of wolves. If survival is your thing, then you should try it. I played two hours before realizing it wasn't for me.

A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

Developed by Mr.Pink. Mr. Pink, I have questions.

I own this game, it's fucking wild.. is it really by a codexer?

Mr. Pink is that guy if I'm not mistaken https://www.youtube.com/c/ДаНил/videos, some russian (?) blogger that made really shitty reaction videos before. I don't know anything about codex's Mr. Pink though.

not me.

But if you really tried, you could do shitty reaction videos too, I am sure.

Absolutely fantastic, but it partially depends on your enjoyment of pseudo-LARP in gaming. It's not "I drag a fork over food I placed on a plate in Skyrim", it's all built into the mechanics of the game, but what I'm getting at is if you'd feel a sense of satisfaction knowing you've stockpiled a week's worth of food so you can sit indoors if a blizzard rolls in. A lot of repetition and videogame-chores and there's essentially zero payoff other than continuing to play, but it's got great sound and fairly nice stylized graphics and since the game is so set against you (I'd recommend playing stalker difficulty. Animals are super aggressive but finding items isn't insanely difficult and the weather is varied enough that you'll get blizzards as well as some mild days) it's pleasant once you've got a good stash of food/water/medicine/clothing/tools and start to know your way around the world which is quite large.

If you ever played Unreal World, there's some similarities in how you enjoy it. Just having a nice home base is a big part, and then once you're settled and situated you can gear up and go on a trek into the unknown to try to find more loot (Better clothing, guns, whatever) or just explore. Long Dark's far and away my favorite survival game by a huge margin, just pretend the story mode doesn't exist and just play sandbox.

Yet another classic game ported to modern systems by the original creator. Frak!, 1984 platform puzzle game for BBC Micro, recreated and expanded using GameMaker.

Frak! is a classic retro platform game from 1985, now completely rebooted for the 21st century!

Armed only with his trusty yoyo, our caveman hero Trogg has to collect all the keys to complete each level: but watch out for the Scrubblies, Poglets, and Hooters!

Though the original game had only three levels, this new version has fifty five, featuring tons of extra features:
-- moving meanies
-- vertical scrolling levels
-- moving platforms
-- movable platforms
-- bouncy platforms!

There are five difficulty settings, and each level has its own gem collection medal and speed completion medal.

A genuinely classic game!

Quick question - System Shock Enhanced Edition is on sale for $3. As someone who has played SS quite a few times, any good? (and not in cost vs. gameplay ie: is it worth $3, more along the lines of - is it worth playing?)

Halloween cart's pretty barren. Been doing a lot of coasting on bundles/game pass/backlog so most stuff's on the back burner and/or waiting for potential bundling. Stack of cheap adventures is a maybe though. Charnel House is the only one sure I'll grab, other two are cheap enough I'll probably grab them just because I've heard a bit of good/decent about both, and if they haven't been bundled (That I've seen) yet they probably won't be.

Just got a good gaming PC after not having one for about 10 years. What's a good game to impressive me with graphics? DOOM, RED DEAD, METRO?

Alternatively is DOS2 tolerably as an RPG?

I don't remember offhand your exact history or tastes, but if you haven't played Alien: Isolation or Resident Evil 7, now's the time.
Good suggestions, but I've played Alien Isolation and I'm really interested in RE7 but I'll probably play that on game pass. I actually have all of the Resident Evil games backlogged to some degree or another, but 7's kinda Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe has me more interested than the rest. Even though I assume it'll probably have blobby monsters eventually. Do need to get off my ass and play it though. Also should play Plague Tale while it's there too, but I wanted to knock out the Red Strings Club before that got pulled.

Speaking of Alien Isolation though, NoClip did a nice little piece on that recently. Worth a watch if you're in the mood for hearing more about it. Apparently Creative Assembly's well aware that people love the game and would like another one.
