Apparently Prototype 1 + Prototype 2 + DLC will be $7.50 on Amazon tomorrow around 3pm Central or so for like 2 hours. It coincides with the broadcast of their shitty show with Gamestop or something.
So, did this materialize somehow?
Sounds like it has about 40 minutes left to go.

Well, my price is $89.97, so I guess I'll give it a pass.
Oh, I wasn't very clear on that. About 40 minutes until it starts, not 40 minutes left. Deal hasn't gone up yet.

Cool, that sounds much better. Maybe, the next lightning deal then.

Edit: Worked like a charm!

F all you guys. If you get past the pretentious art style it looks to be a pretty solid survival rogue like... just without stats. Also, anyone here want Dota 2? I have two more copies... but... you have to be on my friends list because I don't feel like adding anymore people... or MHC's friends list since I can just pass it to him... or Trip Jack or Bruticus.
I'm down if you still got one

Is it worth playing DotA2 if I hated the shit out of LoL's community? Like, enough to stop playing the game entirely. I never played the original, for the record.

I have Dota 2 invites, if you're interested, PM me if you want some. Also, if you want to know about their community, it is filled with immature, little shit brains, but the game itself, is fun. As someone who has played both LoL and Dota 2, Dota 2 has a friendlier community, but it's still filled with asshats, like most MOBA type games, for whatever reason.

Ehh... see I can take competitiveness. I was pretty good at LoL, 2000+ Elo when normals were still a thing; and I had the privilege of being on a team that got utterly crushed by some elite, tournament winning squad. It's fun, no doubt. But the people are such incoherent, insane, aggressive and abusive assholes I just can't play that game. And what's confusing to me is that being a belligerent bastard to your teammates is counterproductive. I could never understand why people flew off the handle at their own team at a drop of a hat. It's not Counter-Strike. You can't solo whole enemy squads on skill alone; you actually need to be a cohesive team to succeed. But people still spent every game trashing their own bros. I just never got it, I guess.

Well, Dota 2 is leagues above LoL, *BUT* their community is still filled with asshats, so you just gotta decide what's better. I like Dota 2 because of the uniqueness of the heroes, and how you'll never find a hero like Invoker in LoL, and the ability to deny creeps/heroes is absolutely crucial.

Lol @ THQ. Darksiders 2 goes from $50 to $17 in three months. But, good riddance, they deserve to fail with the metric ton of shitty DLC they cut out of the main game and repackage for extra money.
What pisses me off is that it really is just some shitty DLC, mainly armors and weapons, which probably got cut out of the game, that you'll out-level in a few hours anyway. Why not put some damn effort into it and make worthwhile DLC after launch if you're already hell bent on making some? Extra hilarity because most of DLC isn't even covered by their fabled Season Pass.

Goddammit, THQ.

LA Noire went from €50 in November (release) to €12.50 in December last year.

Just release CoH2 and then fucking die, THQ.

La Noire took about half a year or more to get a PC port so it wasn't really a new release.

I will admit Darksiders 2 is something I would check out for dirt cheap and bundled. I haven't even bought/played Darksiders 1. If it's this cheap now, it'll be cheaper during Black Friday/Christmas sales. $10-$15 for a bundle of THQ games (the majority of which I'd actually play and not shit like Homefront or the newer Red Faction games) is pretty much the only way I'd go

I already have most of THQ's catalog of crap now so I'm kicking around the idea of buying Darksiders 2. Since it showed up on Gamersgate I could stack my IGN and the G2PO codes on it and bring it down to $13.50 without the season pass. Which I'm not sure the season pass would be worth it since the other "Big DLC" included apparently hasn't been released yet and doesn't even have a release date, which with THQ as it is sounds questionable.

Just dunno though. Certainly a decent price and I thought the first one was pretty ok (Except for the story/writing, holy hell it weirds me out when people act like they enjoyed that) but not all that motivated to grab 2. Especially since it sounds like they put some action RPG stuff in there which isn't really what I'd want from that game. Probably should just hang on to the money and use it to buy more awful indie bundles. $13 buys a lot of physics platformers and arcade-style score attack shoot 'em ups with the occasional arty game with no gameplay thrown in!

Multi, you don't need any excuses. Buy everything. Buy the DLCs too. We are all counting on you.

For great justice of your Steam account. You have the blessing of the whole General Gaming forum.
