I see. Well, those examples you used are the only games I know that uses this kind of art, so I was unsure if what art style you meant. I guess it's easy to draw compared to most games, while not being "retro art".

Welcome to the decline! I call this visual style "The NU Roguelike Management Game Visual Style", it is usually implemented in Nu Roguelike Managements games like Prison Archytect, RimWorld and etc.

This game in particular looks like they took RimWorld combat out and made a game out of it. Will it be good? Only time can tell.
