He's right about that, obviously it contains a slur, but they still allow people to say things like idiot and moron, which in themselves are slurs for the type of person who is offended by something like "oldfag".

Last time I did it, nothing. I killed everyone outside Ranger Central, and then called Vargas on the radio and he gave me a promotion.

Fargo said entire areas and quests were shut off from the main game, if you behaved badly through C&C and reactivity changes... let's see how that gets implemented the next couple o months.

Wasteland 2 is a party-based game. I do not think there is any acknowledgement of solo parties. Given some of the scenarios in the game (like the Highpool Underground) I am not even sure if it is possible to finish the game solo.

No you don't, and I thought that pretty clever. There's a back entrance to the Highpool facility, you can solo the maze.

I beated the pre-patch beta solo; was good, but I honestly think that 2-3 characters is the best setup. Biggest issue I had was water management, since 1 ranger consumes water at the same rate as a 6 rangers, but you only have on canteen. You would run out of water from the Ranger Central to the Radio Tower. But I think it was a bug and was fixed in this new patch, haven't tried it out.

You only need to do Ag. Center or Highpool, so it doesn't really matter,

Back on topic. Is the combat at a point where I should give the beta a few hours of time or do I wait until it gets tweaked some more? The only time I played so far I quit after the first fight and hoped that they changed it in some way because I was just horrendous.

The combat is fine, can be a bit easy on Seasoned difficulty but considering how it is just the first few hours/areas I think it's good. PS. you guys are much better than the wasteland forums, they complain about how they miss their list based inventory.
