Yes I had seen this picture before and noted that, but I called it a survey by accident. Still the specific point of this drop is surprising, I would've expected it to happen between early and mid 20's. It's not like there's a drastic difference of baby fat between 18 and 19 year olds, both ought to have a significantly reduced amount of it compared to say, 14 year olds. It's the roundness that this fat gives to young faces that makes them seem youthful and attractive. It's also why some severely overweight individuals seem to age slower, the fat disguises the signs of aging on the face. A 19 year old face shouldn't droop yet or have any lines, unless of course, unhealthy lifestyles.

I makes perfect sense for a 14 year old however to appear the most attractive, as this is when young women become fertile, if not a few years sooner. Wasting precious time is not a winning evolutionary strategy. A 14 year old has maybe 10-15 years to produce as many offspring as possible, and poor nutrition combined with high death rates ensured that that there might've been even less time when Homo sapiens was still a hunter/gatherer.
