The What's a Paladin line is kind of taken out of context. It's certainly shameful for the ninth numbered entry of a legendary rpg series to make these kind of questions, when it's quite clear you've been playing a Paladin for the whole series, but as I said that dialogue option was tertiary at best. It's the sort of thing you put in there to make players know more about the world, like having a character asking what the Force is in a Star Wars game.
Out of the games listed, I think it's between PoR2 and the RoA remake, but I'd be more inclined to vote for the latter. The others, at least, tried.

Played none of those.
Actually most RPGs I played were not total shit, but if I'd have to name one it would probably be Dragon Age: Inquisition. Which of course bears no objectivity, since it's not totally broken, has pretty nice graphics and world etc. But it's the one game that filled me with mopst rage and disgust.

Same for me. I haven't played any of the games listed and Dragon Age Inquisition is by far the worst crpg I have ever played. Though I don't think it's really a crpg anyway.

Knights of Legend was the third cRPG I ever played (or tried to play rather) immediately coming off the majestic high I got from playing Dragon Wars and Pool of Radiance. While the latter two singlehandedly instilled my love for RPGs, KOL almost singlehandedly killed that interest forever. All were played on the C64. The ad for Knights of Legend promised over two hundred towns and bergs you could visit. "Oh, boy!" I thought. "I'll be able to play this game for the rest of my natural life and never run out of things to do!" Of course, completing this game with even the smallest battles requiring at least an hour meant not so much playing for the rest of of my natural life as the equivalent of playing for three consecutive life terms. All the battles were done in utter & complete silence (no audio support) from a top down view and all combatants were represented by what looked like dancing gay white match heads. And no, it wasn't over two-hundred towns and bergs. That was a projection based on how many towns & bergs there would be if all the other promised modules were released for it. Other things I remember was that the paper manual was like an INCH THICK! I wish my penis was as thick as that manual!

Fingers crossed when rolling stats for the next life you'll get a thicker penis (or peachy vagina).

Arcania is the worst on this list. It's garbage from the get-go. At least their hearts were in the right place with the rest on the list.

Worst 'cRPG' I ever played was Oblivion and there is nothing which can convince me otherwise.
Just... play Dragon Age: Inquisition!

But the truly horrific ones are those that fool people into playing them, into having high hopes
That would be Morrowind for me then. After cuming all over Daggerfall at least 7 times, that game was such a letdown. Way, way worse offender than M&M 9 ever was after playing the previous ones.
Woudn't the "progression" from Morrowind to Oblivion be even worse for you though ? Personally Fallout 3 scarred me so much, that I couldn't enjoy any kind of 3D RPG for a long time afterwards.

I couldn't say, I dropped TES right there and nothing I've read or seen about the series made me want to come back.

Meh, I deleted my post and was just gonna put your dumb thread on ignore, but what's so edgy about preferring to replay PoR: RoMD instead of puerile current gen shit you didn't list? At least it's fucking turn-based and isometric; I'd just solo it as a Cleric.

BETRAYAL!

Should give you lot an idea what I voted.

Ultima 9 is not a bad RPG?

# You get to choose from 1 of 8 classes, and they're not balanced. The Fighter gets a good weapon, the Mage probably gets extra Mana and some spells, and the Shepherd gets a PWNMobile-esque weapon that trumps every other weapon (and monster) for 2/3rds of the game.
# You can choose how to advance your character a grand total of 8 times during the game.
# There are no class-specific quests, conversation options or weapons in the game.
# Your options in "choice and consequences" scenarios is whether to do a particular action or not. There are no consequences for your actions except the guards being summoned on your thiefing ass. (Is that even a thing? Can't remember.) Everything else is on rails.
# The gameworld is compartmentalized, which is the dev saying "fuck you, you don't go there until I tell you to" which runs contradictory to all RPGs, regardless of franchise.

And RoMD isn't puerile? HAHAHA We're talking about a D&D game that automatically assign skills points and feats to your character based on its class! Even Skyrim and Fallout 4 have less hadnholding than that.

Fallout 3, definitely.
Oblivion is absolutely dumb, but it's charming in a village idiot sense.
Fallout 3 is just an abomination.
I had fun playing U9, pretending that it had nothing to do with the Ultima serie. Same for MM9. Didn't play PoR2, DA2, DAI or Arcania though.

Yep, I'm not sure about omitting Fallout 3 from the list either. I know that millions of retards loved it, but it's such an objectively horrible game and an official sequel to F1-2 at the same time.

Ok, I've edited the poll and everyone can change votes. Enjoy yourselves.

Is the Witcher 2 eligible? Not that I'm going to change my vote from the game than must not be named, but I'm surprised. Perhaps it's not bad enough, but it's probably the 'RPG' I played the least of before quitting in disgust, out of all the legions of games since the beginning of time. Unless you count some crappy roguelikes or one of Vogel's remakes.
