And this is just....I don't even know what to say anymore. Are they trying to market a game or market a character? Garrett was a nice character because he was just doing his thing without his awesomeness being shoved down your throat. This is just cringe worthy.

Eyes: Brown, with a distinctly unique green right eye said to imbue him with a heightened ability to focus, speeding his reactions, improving his skills and even allowing him to notice things that others might miss.

In the original trilogy Garrett was a master thief because he was a fucking good thief. In this one, Garrett is a master thief because of his fucking eye. Fuck you eidos.

GOOD: This is a reboot and they want to attract newbies' attention without spoiling fun stuff, like those public and secret factions, mysteries of the City, etc.
EVIL: There is nothing further planned and they want to make this reboot an origin story just like Tomb Raider 2013, so they keep it simple and focus on making Master Thief sounds like a badass.
Question: How are they going to reboot Legacy of Kain? And why didn't they reboot Hitman?

By calling the main enemy Baron, they've subliminally hinted towards what the atmosphere, writing, gameplay, and ultimate enjoyment of the game will be. Obviously even they know the mess they're creating.
Yeah, they know that their audiance cannot into names. They can't remember a name like Karras or Constantine. They call the bad guy Baron. They might as well call it The Villain. I'm surprised the main hero is still callde Garrett, instead of Thief.

Been a while since we had such a train wreck of a game, probably the best since Oblivion. Very entertaining so far, would lol again.

Reminds me of Star Wars, which used such wonderful names for its villains, like Darth (in)Vader, or Lord (in)Sidious, not to mention a rather belligerent monster named Rancor. Ho, George Lucas, the Todd Howard of film makers.

This is even better because the average video game buyer seems to be realizing it's stupid.

Baron is an inherited title in the orignal games! Are they going to make the Baron something more? Perhaps a supernatural power? Like the Trickster? Or the Sun Queen?

Is the Baron Garrett's...

...long-lost father?

Dun dun!

If they do this I hope there is a place in hell waiting for them.

Evil Father-good son cliched is so fucking god damn annoying.

Having a villain be the main character's father is indeed cliche.
Having a villain be the main character's son would be original.:smug:

Vader means "father" in Dutch.

And I feel extra pathetic that this thread now counts 100 pages.

You know what Garrett really missed? Belts on his blackjack.

That blackjack looks like it's upper part is going to fall off after a couple of hits.
Could be more useful to stick it up the guard's butt rather than trying to hit somebody.

Time to expand on my joke from the previous page!

So is time to expand mine!
The City News
Garr4tt aka Master Thief stole a necklace from the brothel and sodomized a number of guards, while wearing womynz' clothes. We reached a patrolling guard from that night to comment on the situation.
Guard: Craziest damn thing... a god-damned Thiaf raping me and my fellow comrades... right there, down the street... dildo stuff and shit... even used a fucking blackjack!
