That's what I said: If the characters are not interesting, that's one thing. But people are complaing about the character art, which wasn't great in PST at all.
Tworment character designs are banal shit boring. When I played numanuma pnp I had a more interesting character than those ppl.
Right, but no one is saying otherwise, Lady Error was just talking about the art style.Tworment character designs are banal shit boring.
Erritis is MCA's companion and he's human.
Good for the time
Doing the portraits in 3D wasn't the best decision either.
Seems like people haven't actually looked at those in years or something:
The characters were the most interesting you can find in any RPG, but that art (especially the humans) was pretty bad.
While he was sinking Interplay he greenlighted 4 of the Codex Top 5 games of all time, despite the fact that they desperately needed money and most of the management thought those games won't as much as break even. So I'd say he had to have had pretty fucking good appreciation of RPGs all right.
He greenlighted everything and shoot in all directions, which is why they were desperately in need for money in the first place. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Fargo deserves credit for greenlighting these games, and in many cases defending them when other execs opposed them, but it's disingenuous not to give Fargo credit for everything else, including the company's numerous failures. Also, his most fortunate decisions are all from before Interplay's IPO, after which his involvement in good games was pretty much null. It's disingenuous to not give Fargo credit for the games that were made on his watch at interplay. The shitty decisions made at ineXile do not change the past. Sometimes a pitcher just looses his fastball over time. Doesn't mean he didn't have it in his prime.
Okay, isn't the release day tomorrow? Where is the excitement?
Kind of sad that the run-up to release is like this, but then they haven't been doing much to excite us, have they.
PoE had Sawyer livestreams and stuff before release. With Torment you get the feeling that they all moved on to Wasteland 3 months ago and we've been kept waiting for some artificial reason.
It's not that, but "inXile's management is deeply flawed as their many problems have demonstrated, so their decisions and judgement calls shouldn't be taken as the Bible".Brian Fargo does too many Kickstarters, therefore he also doesn't know how to recognize talent (or a lack thereof) among his developers or understand what they're doing? No.
