Writting is very good, but sometimes it is overcomplicated for no reason, it is hard not to lose a thread. While planescape and numenera very similar, planescape was easier to understand and was kinda simplier, maybe it is just for me, or maybe it is because of setting, but sometimes it feels like there should be a line to imagination.

And about Bioware, you need to consider that while their games might be not good at writting all the time, but they do really good work with a games overall...usually. That means they also have good combat, which matters for alot of people ( sometimes you simply wanna game with a decent combat you know ). And the combat in DA2 and 3 is REALLY good, on nightmare it is also most challenging rpg i can remember. And they are very well polished aswell.

And while i didn't encounter serious bugs in numenera, there are countless minor visual and sound bugs, that really annoying, for example floating npc in circus minor that instead of walking flying with no animation, constant messing with garment clipping ( my spectre cloak sometimes goes on chest instead of back, and Aligern coat textures constantly strikes from his legs, untill it is fixed with movement ), also shadows strike again...what a surprise for unity eh? etc

Did you play nightmare? I've played rogue character and it required not guessing, but actually understanding of the game to beat toughest enemies, using decoys, comboing with party, i had more binds than in MMO. The boss like king wyvern was ridiciolus, i needed to kite it in range so it just can't attack me nor charge, because i went 2 rogue setup and exploit every hex with precision. DAO was brainless in that case, because you had extremely long hexes, in DA2 they were super short and required understanding when to use them. I dont really care that they made those spawns, they added surpise so you couldn't abuse alot of things and change tactics as battle goes. Game overall was meh, but combat there was godlike.

Finally, someone sane trying to put some reason into these poser bullies criticising the game.

Finishing this game at least once is the same as finishing dnd once: utterly pointless. Which is why I gave up on dnd and PLATO games early on. Torment may not take 1000 hours to finish, but those six hours really felt eternal.

To be honest I didn't hate the game as much as I thought, the Bloom was really a fairly good area, like genuinely good, so I guess based Ziets kinda saved Inxile's clusterfuck.

The fact that is is ultimately text-based and easy as fuck kinda also helped, since at least it was never a chore to play.
