The beast i did by spamming gas grenades and acid. Didn't even need traps, other builds might need it

super hypos? what is this healing you are talking about. If I get hit twice during a fight I die

crawler caltrops I get from merchants. I think its ensured secret stock on both constantine and free drones guy.

Funny enough, on this dominating playthrough I dont utilize traps or caltrops much, ever since escaping depot a... with exception of beast waves fight.

Gas grenades on other hand I throw quite a bit, especially against enemies marked as boss. Gas grenade + flashbang is always nice. I use napalm as form of cc too

You could also try Acid Blob Pistols for bosses. You get to keep them in one place while your Gas 'nade works up to 20 stacks.

I haven't done Free Drones in... years, actually.

As far as the Super Hypos... you could get some value out of them, I guess, if you tank select attacks with Morphine/Aegis/Shield. You're on a 3 Con character?

Funny you're talking about crawlers, i'm farming them right now! Does the crawlers from black crawler lair respawn? Pretty easy farming there, when you enter you usually get ambushed by just one. Dispatch it then lay several layers of bear craps, detonate C4 and they all come rushing to the traps so you can safely kill all of them.

These days I just make a melee immune set and go abouts kicking bugs in the face.

I crafted one of those recently, and I have to say I am finding them pretty OP and useful for shotgun synergy. As an added benefit I am not seeing many enemies with any resistance to acid at all. Acid vials are pretty cheap and easy to craft too.

So you'd be pretty happy when you get the Advanced Catalysing Belt. You could also consider Cooked Shot, although it's best used with protective gear from the type of chemical weapon you'd be using. Cooked Shot, ACB and Incendiary Pistols together with Napalm Grenades make for a pretty entertaining combo. Clean-up with shotguns. Works well enough against most types of enemies, as well.

yeah, maintain survival by high dmg output, lots of cc, high movement pool and stealth
Yeah, I get it... I was testing a sniper hybrid some time ago and, indeed, the only tanking 3 Con characters can do is going full immunity of the given type of dmg. Although... with an Infused Bison Leather Set you effectively double your HP.

My build is pure chem pistols. One shot of my Incendiary have 75% chance of setting things on fire, giving them a debuff of around 300 damage per turn, since i'm running a crit build. The damage of the burning stacks with the damage that caused it. With advanced catalysing belt, you can further lower their resistance to fire or acid. I'm raiding that mutie facility now. Finding insane quality components there (150Q) and the junk jets they ride have premium parts, which is kinda funny.

It's an impressive amount of damage, yes.

At this point I'd be more worried about taking an EMP to the face. 20 % Cooked Shot dmg doesn't seems to justify using the CAU armour all the time, as well. It's more dmg, sure, but you seem scaled enough in this regard.

I think his CAU armor is for XAL. Together with infused mutant dog tabi boots you can get 100% acid resistance and become immune to XAL misfires. And XAL can get down to 5ap shots with 18 Dex.

I think I've been to that mutie area before but not sure, it's somewhere in the Waterways right?

Between Depot A and Silent Isle on the map. Accessible only with jets.

Hey, did Underrail receive an uptick in sales due to Sseth's review?
I imagine so. Probably generated at least 20% in sales alone(a figure entirely pulled from my ass ). Most likely from the demographic that this sort of a game doesn't appeal in the first place, or else they'd have found it by themselves. I had wanted to play this game from since 2015 at least. Most people interested in recent RPGs would probably namedrop Underrail sooner or later, so in my estimation, it is nearly impossible that anybody with half an idea about RPGs wouldn't know about it in prior to watching a popular YT video years after the release date.

Once again, I'm confused: Is there a skill cap or barrier to push through for certain skills? I have some points left to put into Biology, but the effective skill stops increasing at 125 even with like 10 extra skill points spent.

Only as far as the quality of materials go. I am not sure what is the exact formula, but I am guessing that you want to have a slightly higher skill cap than the highest quality materials you can find. If I'm not mistaken they top out at 160Q. Some craftables increase skill requirements by 10% by adding optional components, so take that into account as well.

No, I'm talking about the level-up screen. I'm putting points into Biology, but the effective skill does not increase above 125.

In this case, probably because you have lower Int/Chemisty, there'd be a cap on your Biology Skill. It increases with the level of your character. You're at lvl 15/16?

PS: Don't increase your Biology past 130.

It's because of skill synergy and the way it's calculated. You might have a lot of points to dump before you see any gain.

You can use the character builder to check how many points are wasted.

Yes, i'm still there. The dungeon's huge, and the muties are very well equipped. I found surviving people in a cave, Black Eels. Also, does anybody know how to fix the crane console? I have no idea.

Edit: never mind, found it

Biology goes from 86 (125) to 94 (125) before it starts increasing again. But why? I thought synergies just give a straight bonus. Higher Int + higher Chemistry = higher Biology.
So there is a barrier at 125.
