It's seems that Longthorne try to project some creditability due the TCR backlash, predictable PR move. odd picture though, i wonder why she haven't choose to photograph/ share her character sheet instead. Also notice all the pseudointellectual narrative design literature.
Character sheets are for nerds, this shows off the character model and concept. The fiction shown off includes Sapkowski, Martin, Tolkien, and King, so her tastes are certainly very mainstream. Likely had to move the Rowling to an out-of-sight shelf. :P

Personally, I'd love to see Lasombra in action with their Obtenebration fuckery and all the behind-the-scenes implications of what using it does to Lasombra, but Bloodlines 2 will be based on V5 which means Lasombra will be using Oblivion, which is just boring to me.
V5 retains all the tasty Obtenebration powers for the Lasombra as a variant for Oblivion. It just meshes the Abyss with Umbra, which was long suspected anyway.

That's what I don't like. I preferred the Abyss being a separate thing, twisting those who use its powers to be shunned by everyone and everything the more you use it, twisting your appearance and manner. Even if the writers didn't really think things through when they made Demon: The Fallen's Abyss and VTM's Abyss, which did get confusing back in the day.

Also, I just don't like Umbra shit.

Is Obtenebration powerful?
I heard good things about it, but not necessarily how useful and practical it actually is.

Just about every game line has its own Abyss or equivalent that are distinct from one another, but you can't really glue them together without running into some major issues.

It is adequately powerful to be a tool worthy of the Lasombra.

Ahh yes, all real and true gamers post on social media about the character creation screen.
You dare doubt her gamer cred, when her bookshelves are adorned with such highbrow works of literature as "Women in gaming"?
As a true gamer I don't even read book titles.
What are books?!
Can you eat them?
You probably do eat them in Bloodlines, given how skill books disappear after reading them.

Neo-Noir is a style I actually like, and I like so far what I am seeing. Neat.

It’s not a 1:1 scale replica but we’ve created our Seattle by spending a lot of time researching with Google Earth, maps and real life visits. We haven’t taken things verbatim but we have tried to capture the soul of the city and give it a Vampire Skew.

This is the one thing I am going to find infinitely amusing, as some who actually lives in Seattle. I get this is going to be a "game perspective" of Seattle but I am curious what it will entail. I think they did do at least a little background history at least with the trailer featuring that one Asian vampire lady. That was the first thing that made me go hmmm It looks like the did do some basic research in the old history of Seattle. I do expect our iconic Space Needle to either be present or a scene we visit. I'm also going to guess they also know about the Seattle Underground, and adding that might potentially be interesting.

Have you seen the map of Seattle in one of the pictures?

Bunch of areas are marked, do you know which districts/neighborhoods they might be? I tried to look some of them up and I think two of them are the University District and Beacon Hill, but again I'm not sure. Maybe they're randomly marked.

Actually in WoD all cities and places looks similar but also have differences. In example, Chicago is the most prescribed city have impenetrable forest with werewolf's.

lol I totally missed at picture with the map. And yeah that's like the University District and that X is possibly Capitol Hill? (Just a FYI for people Capitol Hill is kind of like the GAY Castro District of Seattle). I actually suck at my Seattle district locations, this city is so FUCKING HUGE and there are sooo fucking many

Bloodlines did the same with LA. They basically showed some known landmarks and improvised the rest :)!

I do actually like the look of the city so far. It looks like they kept the apartment that the player character from the HSL version was in.

The haven looks like a garbage dump, given how it's overfilling with trash. Sure, Santa Monica haven had a poor-as-fuck vibe going for it, but this looks to be completely abandoned and parts of it look to be underground.

Maybe it's upgradable? Having the secret vampire power up of calling the cleaning company crew or going to IKEA.

If you look at videos from the HSL demo you see that this is not at all the haven the player inherited there. It was more modern!

Curious what Seattle might be/have in the official WoD lore? I don't remember.

https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Seattle_(WOD)

Seattle is a Camarilla stronghold that was run by vampires that have been there since the time of the pioneers, with the prince being the big mommy milkers we saw in the old trailers until she was overthown by the graying Ventrue we also see in the trailers. It used to be a base for attacks against the Anarchs until the Free State collapsed.

As for the other game lines, it's mostly Bone Gnawers and Glass Walkers there, with two Caerns on top of a notable population of Corax. There's also a branch office of Pentex there. As for the Mages it's a major stronghold for the Technocrats, with smaller Tradition enclaves around the place. Mage even has a book that describes an entire Chantry there, called Hidden Lore. For the Wraiths it's under sway of the native Americans, and it's part of the Changelings' Kingdom of Pacifica.

So there's plenty of crossover potential.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 dev talks picking up where Hardsuit Labs left off

The Creative Director also gives us some insight into how the team translates the 5th edition of VTM into an action-RPG.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been in development for a while, but it looks like the developers are starting to accelerate the hype train. As momentum builds, we tracked down the Creative Director on Bloodlines 2, Alex Skidmore, to pick his brain about developing a game like Bloodlines 2 and everything that comes with handling such a lauded franchise like Vampire: The Masquerade. Take a look!

“What is the Chinese Room’s answer to a vampire, action-RPG?” Skidmore said when discussing how the team approached taking over the reins of the game. According to Skidmore, this is The Chinese Room’s story, world, and gameplay and the team focused on how to faithfully adapt the fifth edition of Vampire: The Masquerade into a game, “It’s a bit like adapting a book into a film, you need to make certain creative choices.”

“We get to add some things to the IP in order to get it to work for an action game,” Skidmore said with a cheeky grin. It sounds as though fans of the series might be in store for a few surprises when the game releases. Our chat with Skidmore is packed full of juicy morsels, so make sure you check out the whole interview.

If you like what you saw in this interview, then we have some good news for you. There are a ton of other fantastic interviews about Bloodlines 2 you can check out on the Shacknews Interviews YouTube channel. Be sure to keep it locked to Shacknews as we bring you the latest on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, which is scheduled to release sometime in 2024.

Retard says this is the first time in VTM you get to play an Elder, which is horseshit and he would know it if he ever played or even just read about Redemption.
