Sadly only Psyker and Adeptus get to choose their spells/summons hotkey location. Weapon skills are fixed, as retarded as that is. <.<

BTW, is it possible to pick a different location for the skills in the bar? The order seems to be set by the weapon and sometime some weapon has the same skill but in a different location which is messing up my finger memory already.
you'll be able to do that once you've finished the first missions on the ship, so after the fifth mission, I think.

Ok, some oddities.

First, i rerolled with another kind of Psyker and erased my original character, but it kept my credits and heroic deeds i accomplished with the first?

Second, it seems i'm missing a passive skill point. I'm level 3 and i should have 2 passive skill points but i only have 1? Is it because i didn't spend the first time?

Finally, it tells me i have two powers unlicked, but where are they?

Credits and crafting supplies are shared among your characters. Heroic deeds that unlock new passives and attributes are also shared among all characters of the same class. League characters are clean starts.

There's a bug where you can get negative skill points that has been persisting since the beginning. Reseting your trees helps, but that might be too expensive if you don't have a mid level character.

for psyker powers, you'll be able to change your current selection once you've finished the tutorial (first 5 missions) and have access to your ship. On your ship, you can change your power selection next to your storage, if I'm not mistaken

Dunno about that. But it hopefully shouldn't be a problem? You can reset your skills quite easily. If I remember correctly, that requires buying some item from vendor.

Lmao, ok, i'm getting pissed off now.

So i finish the fourth of the five missions in the tutorial (chapter 1), i quit the game, but once i come back the screen with the ship where you select the missions is empty now. I can't see neither the missions i finished nor the next one, so can't progress in the game.

I looked around and seems i'm not the only one who has had this bug.

So i just erased that character and made a new one and made sure to play all the missions in the tutorial so i can get to my ship in one go.

Everything worked fine, i have all my passive points, unallocated, and everything.

Except now i'm missing one of the bonuses from the heroic deed i completed with my other character.

Just what the fuck is with this game. How can it be so glitchy after being released for such a long time?

To show you what i mean, this is what the screen looked like, from a screenshot posted on steam by another dude who had the same bug:

Right now everything seems to be working fine and every stat and skill point is accounted for. I hope it remains that way.

Doesn't seem bad, i'm just baffled by those first week release kind of bugs.

That said, i'm now afraid to click on the star map in case missions get wiped again lul.

Right now i'm just chilling on the ship trying to figure out how shit works and start putting those passive points somewhere.

I'm glad i picked the Psyker as his voice really fits what i think an Inquisitor should be like. The Crusader sounds more like a space marine.

Speaking of which, while the thot that sells you shit is pretty boring the space marine dude you save is actually kind of amusing.

Writing so far is servicable but very standard for this type of games and not particularly suited for the setting. Grim Dawn was written in a similar way so i guess that's how it has to be.

40k art is at least super rad as usual. I got close to the star map and when i saw you could see the outside of space from cathedral style glass windows i got a boner lmao.

BTW, one question: on the star map there's several locations i can visit, one of them being the one required by the plot (the one to fix the space marine dude you saved from the Martyr).

Do i get the chance to explore them all, or is this one of those games that once you start following the plot you can't go back to side missions? I'm one of those autistic people that likes to check everything out, i want to make sure i don't unintentionally skip anything.

Ho, btw, wtf are those baby things you can "activate" on the left?

You have the main plot and you have random missions. I don't think main plot missions are missable, but I didn't pay real attention.

You mean the cosmetic pets (skulls, cherub)?

Ho they are just pets? Shiiet i thought they had some gameplay purpose.

I guess i can activate one and LARP as Cleve.

It's the random missions i don't want to skip.

I guess my question is: should i jump on the plot missions as they come or post-pone them while doing the random ones?

I think constantly updating the game has that effect.

The random ones you can pick up on the various planets are randomly generated from a mission type, enemy and tileset and I think those available changes regularly, so you can't exhaust the supply. If you want side missions that aren't randomly generated, you can talk to the astropath (on the right of the map)

So i finished mission 7, the first story mission on the star map, and for shits and giggles i picked the maximum difficulty setting (told me it was 20 levels above mine lul).

Wasn't fun as the tougher enemies took forever to kill, but i also died a lot and that made notice one thing: are there death penalities for dying in this game? I checked both exp and money and it doesn't seem i lost anything.

What i did i lose was a green chest that had a timer in it. The monster protecting it took so long to kill the timer expired. Wonder what was in it.

IIRC there are no real penalties for dying in the story missions, various side missions have a limited number of deads before the mission fails.

And that basically sealed the deal of never getting this for me. I wanted to, even just to support Neocore Games, but that is just such utter garbage design.

I don't get why developers would illegitimize their own gameplay in such an obvious way.

The only recurring bug I seem to get is the music sometimes stops mid mission, whiuch they have never managed to fix.

I looked it up and the bug i got where i couldn't finish the tutorial if i quit after missions 3 or 4 (but not 1 and 2) only affects characters created in the last season, so i guess that must be it. Some mods said they will "fix it" soon lul.

I'm level 10 now and so far it's not a terrible game. I see it shares the same itemization system of Grim Dawn, where at a certain point you stop giving much of a shit about new gear unless it's visibly superior. Too much of a hassle to compare 1% extra of this vs 1% less of that plus i still have no idea what half of those stats even do. There's a "quality" value associated with the gear but there's no indication of what that means.

BTW, i noticed you can do random mission outside of the star map. Are those different from the ones you pick from the latter? And is the whole game just mission maps? No world to explore?

the stats on the character page have tooltips that give more information

I think that the random missions outside of the star map are similarly generated, just with different levels; on the star maps, the level of missions spawned for a systerm are set, for example in the star system where you start, all missions are low levels, like ~10 and below, wherease the random missions outside the star map are scaled around your level (from +5 to -5).

I haven't unlocked all the subsectors, but so far there's been no world to explore; some location offer some interaction, like the first place you go while searching for the magos biologis
